I received this item in a plain, 100% unmarked bag. This look extremely suspect. I would've felt better if the bag had arrived marked. I have no idea where this came from or anything. Could even be mixed in with normal sugar. Really had no way to tell. However, I bought it to use in home-made beer and it worked well.
First, I am alcoholic and former wine-snob. I lived in Europe for many years and loved me some wines! I preferred drier reds like Medoc and a good and tart Chianti the best.

I'm pregnant and cannot drink alcohol. I like wine that isn't chilled and if you get this I recommend you chill it fully before trying it. If not it tastes like watered down, very bland wine. Because of health reasons I can no longer drink wine with alcohol. I bought a bottle of the Ariel Cabernet Sauvignon and it was like grape juice that had gone bad.
While delivery did not arrive virtually overnight as it usually does from Amazon, the vinegar, itself rocks!
A number of reviews have remarked that the bag smelled fermented or like vinegar when opened. I experienced the same thing, and being a first time consumer of cacao nibs, specifically this brand, I was concerned that I received a bad batch. Upon further research, I learned that fermentation is a necessary part of cacao processing, used to reduce astringency and develop the flavor we associate with chocolate. Fresh cacao seeds have no chocolatey flavor at all. So, much like my first real piece of Roquefort cheese, I learned that this can be surprising in smell and taste to those of us who have only ever had the overly processed derivatives. While it is possible that some really did receive a compromised product, I found no detectable rancidity or otherwise off flavors in mine. I do pour the nibs into a bowl so they breath a little and this helps to dissipate the fermented aroma when I am eating some plain.

Now I can eat chocolate everyday! These are really good in yogurt and I know I'll find more uses. I will definitely buy this product again, most likely in bulk. I bought this for an anniversary picnic. Overall, I was none too happy. The salmon-dill spread looks, smells, tastes, and feels like cat food. The summer sausage was bland. The two highlights were the candied nuts (walnuts, I think) and the spiced cheddar cheese. The rest of the basket was not noteworthy. Next year, I'll be refilling the basket with better food for less money.
While they have a few mustards to choose from I picked this one solely as a dare, to the Fallot people, to disappoint me. I've had their Dijon and their Dijon with Peppercorn so I knew that they knew what they were doing. When I saw the Gingerbread variant I figured it was the LEAST appealing. For me that is always a sign of a way to expand my horizons so I went for it. It is excellent. The more detailed ingredients include wheat and spices. It's not the gingerbread taste I was expecting, which is a good thing. It is dijon with a very unique zip to it. I put it on ham with a whole grain wheat bread. I prefer high tech ingredients like Boar's Head rosemary & sundried tomato ham but it's too delicate for this particular mustard so just use a basic high quality meat. Serve it to yourself though, unless you know someone who is a total "foodie." I paired it(LOL) with a French beverage in the form of a Citadelle gin martini. Look to the French for food and art and you won't be disappointed,

This Sharp Provolone cheese is soooooo good. I have always been partial to the provolone cheese when I buy it at the deli in the grocery store, but that is Mild Provolone. When I saw that 'For The Gourmet' had Sharp Provolone on their list of available purchases, I was intrigued. I tried it, and boy, am I glad I did. I think it is much better than Parmesan in the tangy-ness and strong-ness you can get from just about any cheese. I think I even like it better than an extra sharp, or seriously sharp cheddar cheese. Although, those are really good, too. It ads so much flavor and you don't have to use much of it. That is why I like Parmesan, but Pramesan is so much harder and dryer. This will melt much better. Don't hesitate to try it. It is really delicious.

I will be bottling this wine next week. So far, so good, but I haven't gone wrong using these kits yet. However, just like so many others have recommended, make 5 gallons, not 6. Also, I rack it twice and add a wine smoother (I get it from American Brewmaster: [ ... ]) to it right before bottling. Yummy!
I bought this basket as a present for my family this past Christmas. It arrived mid afternoon and by midnight almost all the crackers were gone; they're to die for: sweet/salty and crunchy at the same time.
This stuff is delicious and incredibly useful. I've macerated berries in it (it's wonderful with strawberries); marinated pork with it; added it to sauces; as well as made salad dressings. In every dish, it was a star. I just wish it came in a bigger bottle.

I have never purchased 30 dollar coffee before so this was kind of splurge for me and I usually drink coffee that comes in 12 ounce bags at about a 5 to 7 dollar range so I wondered how much difference could it really be in quality. I was looking for some good holiday food and I read all the reviews and decided to go ahead and try it out and to my surprise I really enjoyed it and believe me I was expecting quite a bit for 30 dollar coffee. The 1st thing I noticed was the aroma when I 1st broke into the package and it wasn't the normal aroma I was used to when breaking into new coffee for the 1st time. The aroma was so much better and it was so much different and pleasing in smell that I knew it was going to be a great cup of coffee. With anticipation I ground up the beans and made my 1st pot and actually just finished it before this was wrote. I took my time drinking this coffee and I must say I have drank a lot of coffee in my time and thought I wouldn't be able to tell a difference but I found myself looking forward to my next cup. The taste was so fantastic and full of flavor that I really didn't expect it so I was really surprised by that. It was that good instead of with my normal coffee its usually just routine to drink it up even though its good its just not as good as this. If you are looking for some delicious coffee do yourself a favor pick this one up. If you are like me you might splurge every once in a while on food and even if you do it once you will find yourself missing this bag when its gone b/c I know I will. I still have about a whole package remaining and I think I will have to break down again later to get another. Though it is rather expensive I am very happy with this coffee.

I gave this to two aunts (85 and 95 years old). I always ask them to be honest when I send things like this in the mail ( I think most poeple are not honest when they receive something as a gift). Anyway, thier comments were: "the soup was OK, just powder, nothing special". For the money this item cost with shipping you would be much beter off purchasing gourmet soup mixes at specialty stores and making your own gift basket.I sent these to several relatives at Christmas and got rave reviews! My 97-year-old grandpa, who lives in the Midwest, just called me yesterday (it's now Valentine's Day week!) to tell me again how much he loves the soup. He also said he really liked the bowl that came with it and uses it all the time!
