I received the wine kit as normal. I have used at least 12 of these kits and had great success. The problem is, I will propably never know what an aged wine kit tastes like because we drink it faster than we can make it. Wine snobes need not purchase. Just buy your $20 a bottle trendy wines and that will make more wine kits available to those of us who drink wine for fun. I have not fermented the kit yet, but I indend on adding pears and golden raisins as suggested by another reviewer. I really like all Vino Italiano products however, I recently purchased a white and red and I cannot start either of them. I have made wines from kits for over 10 years and know temperatures, shocking, and all kinds of tricks. What could possibly be wrong with these 2 kits I just purchased. I haven't tasted the wine yet, but it is fermenting nicely. These kits from vino italiano are great for the price. I've made 3 so far and will continue to try others. I do recommend making 5 gallons instead of 6. I still have a few bottles left from a Merlot I made which turned out great! Its over a year old. Selected by the Institut coopératif du vin in Montpellier among numerous killer strains isolated and studied by Pierre Barre at INRA, the K1V-1116 strain was the first competitive factor yeast to go into commercial production and has become one of the most widely used active dried wine yeasts in the world.
Oenological properties and applications
The K1V-1116 strain is a rapid starter with a constant and complete fermentation between 10° and 35°C (50° and 95°F), capable of surviving a number of difficult conditions, such as low nutrient musts and high levels of sulfur dioxide (SO2) or sugar. Wines fermented with the K1V-1116 have very low volatile acidity, hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and foam production.
The K1V-1116 strain tends to express the freshness of white grape varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc and Seyval. The natural fresh fruit aromas are retained longer than with other standard yeast strains. Fruit wines and wines made from concentrates poor in nutrient balance benefit from the capacity of K1V-1116 to adapt to difficult fermentation conditions. Restarts stuck fermentations.
Highly recommended for dry whites, aged reds, and late harvest wines.I've used a few of these for concord grape wine, peach wine and currently blackberry wine. They work very well and keep in the fridge nicely too. Good deal on multiple envelopes if you're fermenting often! :)

I'm kind of a gummy nut, and these are my favorite gummy candy ever. The texture is perfect not too soft like cheap gummy bears, and not too firm like a stale Haribo bear. I have tried a lot of crackers and these are the best. My favorite thing is to spread Saint Andre' on them and add a glass of wine or two! You can't go wrong with any variety of Wise Crackers, but I like the Spicy Pepper Melange best.I have been buying these from my local grocery store for a while now and was VERY happy to see the Wisecrackers available on Amazon at about 40% below the grocery store prices (and with free delivery)! Cannot beat that! Aside from the price, why do I buy Wisecrackers:1) TEXTURE and CRUNCH: They are much tougher then regular crackers. They hold MUCH better when you need them for a dip, or a base for a topping. They allow you to "feel" the crunch and take a loooong time before getting soggy when covered with a topping.
2) TASTE: They taste almost like bread crust, with ONLY 110 calories and 2g of fat for ten good sized crackers (each is about two inches by two inches).
REGARDING THE FLAVOUR: I like the sesame variety the most, for their neutral aftertaste. The Pepper variety is not as versitile; in fact, it is quite spicy. You will have to choose the dips and the toppings carefully. However, they can be eaten alone as well, as a light in-between-meal snack.

The process from mixing to bottling takes about six weeks and should take no more than three to four hours of total time to complete. The product is well packaged and obviously produced with care. The container is a two part pouch within a canister completely airtight and capable of keeping the product fresh if you don't use it immediately. The package is small (less than half a pound), and although it adds up to a very high price per pound, the small size can be a positive, since you're likely to use it up while it's still fresh.
Inside, the beans are simply beautiful to look at...uniform shape and color, roasted with lots of consistency and no cracked beans or chaff. As someone who roasts my own beans, I'd say that the roast is somewhat on the light side of a medium roast, giving you a somewhat blonder color than, say, a French roast having very dark tones. The appearance is somewhat dry, compared to other beans that are sometimes oily. Still, the bean is robust enough to benefit from this roast, and I've gone through several packages, finding the roast (and taste) quite consistent from batch to batch. Still, I wish Rusty would offer these unroasted for those of us who would like to experiment with the roast to maybe fine-tune the flavor just a bit.
To me, the taste is five star and quintessential Kona...smooth, bright, not too acidic, and sweet, with amazing character and pronounced chocolate notes. This is truly one of the world's great beans, delivered fresh, well roasted and ready to surprise you in the cup. Compared to other high-end beans, such as Jamaican Blue Mountain, the taste is similar although to my palette, Rusty's is consistently higher quality than any of the Jamaican Blue Mountain beans I've sampled lately.
For the coffee machine, I grind mine somewhat fine and brew it very carefully, with water right at 185-190 degrees. It's also delicious ground somewhat more coarsely in a French press. Even in a stovetop espresso pot, Rusty's gives you flavors way beyond what you might be accustomed to from lesser beans.
Although expensive, Rusty's coffee is definitely a treat worth experiencing.
