Kasugai - Roasted Wasabi Hot Green Peas (4.3 Oz - 1 Lb)

Taiwan Roasted Wasabi Hot Green Peas - 8.24 Oz - Starch Free, Wheat Flour FreeI wanted to try one bag 1st. I eat sushi and thought I would try this product for a little dose of wasabi on my days off. It gives a blast of taste and then it is over. It is not over whelmingly hot, but nice. I was happy to see there was no trans fat in the product. My friend from Oklahoma said she liked these, but I could not find them. Someone from Japan gave them to her. She is really picky, so I thought if she liked them they must be great. She is not really very experimental and I love all kinds of things. I like them. They are good. I like them better than some of the more expesive wasabi snack products I have tried from eden foods. I like the pea form. These peas are addictive. When I ran out I thought I was going into shock. I kept craving them. I buy more now that I like them.

The product is excellent. Tasty, crunchy, hot as wasabi can be,but the hotness desappears just in time to grab another handfull. People who like Japanese food will certainly enjoy to nibble Kasugai.

I have eaten many pounds of these peas and they are the BEST! I have also tried several other brandsthey can't compete with the genuine Kasugai brand. Target's are horridburnt until browish, wasabi falls off and lousy flavor, taste burnt and wasabi tastes like American Horseradish, it probably is. Sun-Luck's have a strong Nutra-Sweet flavor, e Kusugai have a nice roasted pea flavor and a real nice wasabi *bang*!! that quickly fades, leaving you none the worst for wear and wanting more. Honestly, I have tried about 5-6 different brands and none of them can compete. Grab a bag and get hooked-

Well. There must be some reason why you want to buy comparatively expensive wasabi peas. A longing for a specific "taste" of Taiwanese style peas, the need/desire to have a gluten free snack. So, I'm going to assume that you've already assessed how much these peas are worth to you...and are seriously thinking about buying them anyway.

These peas do the job. They are good quality peas. Crunchy. The wasabi flavor is good...a nice bite, but not too much. And they are visually appealing. Its not a huge amount...there are "30 packets", but those packets are small--like airline peanuts small. So, they are best savored rather than gobbled!

*The basic ingredients list is in English, but there is no English information about cross-contamination, etc...so if you have actual celiac disease and don't read Chinese, this is probably not the product for you. But if you just want something that is wheat free, these are great!

Riesling (Vintner's Reserve)

RieslingFor a moderately-priced wine kit, the Vintner's Reserve Riesling is one of the best around. A dry, white wine that pairs well with seafood and is also great as a sipping wine, Riesling has a light-medium body and a clean, refreshing taste.

Like all the Winexpert kits, the Riesling comes with easy to follow directions. The four-step process from mixing to bottling takes approximately six weeks altogether. Each step requires less than an hour of your time. The kit makes approximately 30 750ML bottles of excellent wine and is thus very cost-effective. (The per-bottle cost is about two dollars.) The wine will be ready to drink within a month of bottling, although it will continue to mature for up to a year.

Lalvin 71B-1122 Yeast

Lalvin 71B-1122 YeastLalvin 71B-1122 is my yeast of choice for mead. It is delivering consistent, tasty results. I prefer my meads to be sweet and this yeast has never failed me. Other yeasts can give dryer results that are less desireable for meads (in my opinion).

One note of caution it does take a significant amount of time to finish. (I do not use yeast nutrients or energizers as I am brewing for a specific audience and prefer not to have modern ingredients in my mead.) That being said, I will continue to use it and be patient. Good mead is worth the wait!

This yeast works. It is the single most important item in my homemade wine recipes. It does the job. Nothing to whine about!

Bought some of this for my first batch of mead. Was no expiration date on the packaging, so I was a bit nervous, but it rehydrated nicely, and appears to be going well after 12 hrs.

Felt like I got took though, when I found the same product elsewhere for less than $!/pkg!! Amazon is usually a great price, but I didn't do my due diligence, and got bit for it. Live and learn.

The best yeast on the market. I use it for all my white/clear wines...Apple, Sassafras, Mead, etc..Goes to work fast..stays very aggressive and can reach over 17% ABV...No other reason to use any other yeast unless you are doing reds..

I use this yeast in all my fruit meads. The smoothness it produces and the large temp range it can be used in makes it my only choice. I did not like the results in a regular mead with no fruit. I do agree with other review it does take a long time to finish.

Maille Apple Cider Wine Vinegar, 8.5 oz

Maille Apple Cider Wine Vinegar, 8.5 ozThis is my very favorite of all apple cider vinegars. I've used Maille's mustards for many years (and they still tend to be my go-to mustards), so when I saw that they made a cider vinegar I was eager to try it. I discovered this French cider vinegar about a year ago, desperately looking for an alternative the astringent and flavorless Heinz stuff that's in every store.

This vinegar is polar opposites of Heinz'. Deep, complex flavors married with lots of apple flavor, Maille's has a perfect balance of tang and sweetness. I use it in vinaigrettes, sauces, soups and stews where it adds an amazing extra dimension of flavor.

I thought the price and shipping were crazy high for a single 8.5-ounce bottle, but ordered it anyway as it's impossible to find locally. What I received was a case of 6 x 500 ml (16.9 ounces) bottles, making the per-ounce price significantly more reasonable.

O.k., maybe vinegar is just vinegar, but this is not your ordinary apple cider vinegar. I was truly surprised at how much better this dishes I made with this vinegar tasted. The apple taste is smooth and silky, and now I think the other apple cider vinegar I've been using for years tastes bitter and harsh. If you cook and use apple cider vinegar, you at least owe to yourself to use the good stuff, especially since this one's not that much more price-wise. Cook's Illustrated gave this their "Highly Recommended" rating and I concur!

Fastachi® Super Nut Mix

Fastachi® Super Nut MixI used to live close to Fastachi and went there often to purchase nuts for myself as well as friends and family for holidays and house warming. They roast the nuts there in the shop. The cashews just melt in your mouth they are so fresh. The mixes they offer are awesome. I personally love the cranberry nut mix. I was surprised and delighted to see they can be purchased here on Amazon! You won't be disappointed! Enjoy!

If you like nuts, wait until you try this Fastachi mix. The nuts are carefully selected, none are broken, they are hand roasted in small batches and a light sea salt adds to the goodness.

Perfection! Impossible to find a better product anywhere. I have used many of the Fastachi products and am always amazed never disappointed.

Never mind the nuts are packaged in a brown bag. My family thoroughly enjoyed snacking on Fastachi Super Nut Mix. I have since purchased this mix again and other mixes packaged in tins to give as gifts.

These are the BEST nuts I have eaten!

They're fresh and delicious...and knowing that they were roasted just for me...well, makes a girl feel special!!!

I love mixed nuts but I get sick of brands that consist primarily of peanuts. So I decided to give this brand a shot. As a total cheap-skate I was iffy about the shipping, but the product(s) arrived in a carefully packaged box. They used plenty of paper for padding and minimal plastic, which is actually a big plus for me. The largest percent of this mix seems to be almonds. However there are enough of the other types listed that I didn't feel that I had been ripped-off. The nuts themselves are fresh, flavorful and salted but not overly so. A little better quality wise than buying bulk at the store, at greater cost. I think it is worth it and will continue purchasing as long as they keep their quality up.

Peach Bellini by Wine-A-Rita

Peach Bellini by Wine-A-RitaThis product is the perfect answer for those wanting to create a homemade drink as good as, if not better than, a bartender's version with fresh peaches. Many commercial mixes have either a synthetic taste and/or are too sweet--not true with this exceptional product!

I thoroughly enjoyed the peach Bellini. It was a hit at my party and very easy to prepare. I will definitely be ordering more.
