This tart was one of the best desserts tasted. It has a smooth almondy taste that is delicious with the jelled pears and firm, not too sweet, base. I'd say a European taste extravaganza, utterly, tantalizingly delicious!!
I just tried this tart at Costco and needed to come home right away to clear out the freezer so I can buy a couple tomorrow. It is light and so delicious, very flavorful. The color of the cabernet glaze is lovely and complements the custard and pears. I also fell in love with the mango tart which is even lighter. I'm sold.
