First, this product has multiple listings here on Amazon. I've posted this review for all the listings I know about, but as of the time of writing, but the main thing I'd say here is that there are BIG differences in price, and the individual listings do fluctuate over time. So it is worth taking the time to do your research.

This stuff is EXTREMELY effective for pain. I don't know whether it actually helps with the healing process as some have claimed, but it works wonders for short term relief. I have run it by my doctor, who carefully inspected the ingredients as listed on the label. He indicated that he was fine with me continuing to use it.

The only downside is that it has a rather potent and penetrating menthol smell. It's by no means unpleasant, but you may not want your hands smelling of the stuff all day. I notice another reviewer has left instructions for hand washing after, but personally I prefer to wear rubber gloves when applying it. I also find that it's worth applying the oil with vigorous and sustained massage into the area, just as some other reviewers have already said before me.

But the bottom line is, this is seriously effective stuff. It works.

I have purchased this product here in Tucson,Ariz. for years. I have to 3 different stores here in tucson & they all have said that this exact product is no longer available. I was so sorry because the product really really helped my arthritic joint pain.So when I saw it on amazon I was so pleased BUT when the product arrived I was so disappointed. IT IS NOT THE EXACT FORMULA ,not the same color ,not the same smell and it DOES NOT WORK!!!!! Did not meet expectations.

Have used woodlock oil for a number of years, was always VERY satisfied with product, now, since Amazon has become intermediary, the product seems diluted, not as dark as previously, and relief is not as great, making it necessary to use much more to achieve the same level of pain relief.
