Cornucopia Fruit Wine Kit, Red Black Current Cabernet Sauvignon, 16.4-Pound Box

Cornucopia Fruit Wine Kit, Red Black Current Cabernet Sauvignon, 16.4-Pound BoxI just finished bottling this, and talk about fruit forward!! WOW this stuff it fabulous! I decided to make it as a 5 gal batch instead of a 6 gal because I prefer a full bodied wine and the last time I made a 6 gal kit as a 6 gal batch it came out rather thin tasting. All the ingredients you need are in the kit including the rather nice surprise of corks, foils and labels. The instructions are simple and easy to follow, the hard part is not drinking it all at once. I definitely recommend it to fruit wine aficionados.

I was a little leary of ordering black currant. I've sampled some in the past and although it is a different flavor, I didn't care for the dryness of the wine. I should've known the Corunucopia brand wouldn't let me down. Not only does this have a different flavor, but the added sweetness that is typical of the Cornucopia kits is just right. Not the sweetest of them all however. I prefer this wine very chilled.

This wine met all my expectations. It has a lot of flavor and was easy to make. Will most likely buy it again. I love Black Currents for jams but never expected to enjoy them in wine.

Cornucopia Fruit Wine Kit, Red Black Cherry Merlot, 16.4-Pound Box

Cornucopia Fruit Wine Kit, Red Black Cherry Merlot, 16.4-Pound BoxLoved this wine. Most others that i make are on the lighter side, more for that womens touch. My husband and friends never quite got use to that. After making this though, they keep coming back for more. Very full flavored and body. I used a 6 gallon jug and only filled it to the top, which made this a little more of a strong taste. Will have to make this one over and over again. 5 stars from me on this one.

Out of all the wine I have made with my sister. This is my parents favorite. Of course we like it too...Have to sign up for subscribe and save to keep mom and dad happy..It is sweet, but not overly so and it has a good flavor. I do have a six gallon carboy so luckily fitting in the extra juice was not an issue

I think this wine turned out very well. It is somewhat sweet, but not too sweet.

I am giving 4 out of 5 because you will need to make sure you have a carboy that can hold at least 7 1/2 to 8 gallons of liquid. There is a cherry mix you add in, which is at least another gallon or gallon and a half (they don't specify in the instructions). You will also still have to be able to add in the stabilizing agents and have enough room to be able to stir everything without the displaced wine overflowing out of the carboy.

Other than that minor setback, this kit is very good.

Not as good as their other wines. The flavor on this one was sub par. I do recommend some of the other Cornucopia wine kits, just not this one.

I have been making wine for 17 years. I have never made a wine I did not like until now. This is a most nasty tasting wine. Dont waste your time or money.

Roland Pate, With Port Wine, 2.8-Ounce Jars (Pack of 4)

Roland Pate, With Port Wine, 2.8-Ounce JarsThe pate tastes good. Not great but good. Unfortunately, as also described by another reviewer Eveline Crozier, one out of four jars arrived with a popped lid and with grease smeared all over the four jars.

I wish Amazon would be more consistent with listing food product ingredients. Here they are for this product: Duck, Duck Liver, Pork, Cream (Milk, Cream, Carboxymethyl Cellulose, Guar Gum, Carob Gum, Mono and Diglycerides, Carraghenine), Eggs, Port Wine (Sulphites), Onions, Tapioca Starch, Salt, Whey Protein Concentrate (Milk), Garlic, Pepper, Nutmeg, Sodium Erythorbate, Sodium Nitrite.

I ordered the 4 jars package and it arrived, along with other food items I had ordered, with the 4 jars tossed in a plastic bubble bag that was way too large for these 4 small jars. Result: the jars got knocked about in transit and one of them arrived with a loose top. Of course I don't want to consume a product that has a "popped" pop up button. I have not tasted the paté yet but I wont be ordering it again even if it is good as this is not a refundable item and I will only get to consume 3 out of the 4 jars.

Vino Italiano 4 Week Wine Kit, Gewurztraminer, 15.5-Pound Box

Vino Italiano 4 Week Wine Kit, Gewurztraminer, 15.5-Pound BoxI added sugar to get the SG up to 1.085 and used a cotes de blanc yeast from Red Star. Whipped the gas off a couple times durring secondary and at SG 0.990 I degassed and cleared it per the instructions. It seamed a little thin so I added two 12 oz cans of Welches frozen white grape. This was my sweetener and 'body' filler as it were.

A month after bottling this was pretty good. I don't love Guweruztraminer but was looking for a base to make a semi sweet green chili wine after the 'Hatch Green Chili' spirit. The Green Chili is good too but the base has become a decent white table wine.

For $40 for 6 gallons you cant complain even a little on this one, though I'd rate it at $7-$9/bottle. That's $170 bucks to the good on 30 bottles at the least. So add a little juice to get the body up and a little sugar to get the alcohol up and you have a pretty decent table wine to serve. I bet the guys making 5 gallon batches are right on as the kit by itself would make a thin wine.

Very tasty and easy to drink. It may 4 vs 5 stars based on my indifference to Gewurztraminer.

One of the first wine kits I bought and the first Vino Italiano. Didn't expect much but have found this makes a a nice wine. Let it set about a month after bottling and is a very good light wine. Would buy again.

I have been making wine for several years and purchased mainly Wine Expert kits. I ordered one of these to try after making the Barlo kit. This kit suprised me on how it turned out. Granted its not a $15 bottle of wine but, it is enjoyable. My son thinks this is the best one I have made yet. After looking at the reviews I ordered a Chardonnay to try also.

This was my first attempt at home winemaking. We're still early in the aging process so I can't speak to the drinkability of the wine, but the kit was easy to execute and had everything I needed (I think) to make the wine as good as the juice will let it be.

I've bought and made 5 or 6 of of these less expensive kits by Vino Italiano and am pleased that they have turned out very drinkable. They are easy to make, contain all you need w/ exception of equipment. I make them using 5.25 gals at the start and 5 gals after fermentationThis adds a bit more fullness. They add a quick wine ( although the reds are better after 6 mos.) to your cellar while you wait for your higher quality wines become ready to drink.
