Albanese 12 Flavor Assorted Gummi Bears, Fat Free, 5-Pound Bags (Pack of 2)

Ok, so I bought these on a whim, not wanting to pay nearly the same price for a 5lb bag of Haribo. Imagine my surprise when they turned out to be worth the switch. I've been a long-time Haribo fanatic. These gummies, however, while not as hard in texture as Haribo, more than make up for that in flavor.

I normally space my gummy snacking, but could not keep my hands off these. My kids literally inhaled them by the handful. Even my husband was hooked. After reading the label, I felt even better about eating them. They're made with mostly fruit and veggie additives. No HFCS!! Only caveat was the light yellow bears. They're banana flavored, but a little weird at first. The more you eat the more you taste the flavor.

Overall, these gummies have made this Haribo eater a surefire convert. As a matter of fact, I'm on my way to buy more. A warning to the wise: One shipment will not last more than a couple days to one week max. Not saying there's not enough, but these are very addictive. Happy snacking!

Addendum as of 9/5/09: The banana gummies are even better than before and even a little chewier. I also love the new packaging which actually lists the flavors. I've since tried to go back to Haribo and other brands, but to no avail. These gummies are still my fave! Cheers!

These truly are the absolute best gummi bears I have ever had! The flavors are wonderfully intense. They are not waxy or hard, just perfectly soft and chewy. It turns out 10 pounds of gummi bears is even more than I thought it would be. They will definitely last you a good long while! Enough for a whole party of people. Everyone was asking me, "aren't all gummi bears pretty much the same?" but once they started eating them, they couldn't stop either!

First of all, these Gummi's are delicious and fruity and are just the right amount of chewy. But I was most impressed by the fact that my Amazon delivery of them sat on my porch in 100 degree Memphis weather and they did not melt or get sticky! They were a bit squishy when I first opened them but after being inside the house about 30 minutes, they were perfect again! Sounds silly, I suppose, but it is good to know!

Cavalli Silver Label Traditional Balsamic Vinegar

If you haven't tried this style of balsamic vinegar, do so! The high price of admission is well worth it. A quarter teaspoon can make even a winter tomato almost palatable. Its addition to a stew or sauce makes that je ne sais quoi difference to the taste that makes everyday food special. It is my host/hostess gift of choice for my friends who cook. The silver label is almost as good as the gold and definitely worth the step up from the red.

The Cavalli silver label is an amazing Balsamic unlike anything you will have ever bought in the grocery store. It's very rich and sweet with a mild acidic finish. You will not use this for salads but for cheeses or drizzled as a glaze for quality beef dishes. The good thing is that you need only use a few drops at a time so while expensive, this product will last for 4-6 months with occasional usage. It's worth it in my humble opinion. I've had a "thing" for balsamic vinegars for many years in the same way that many people do for fine wines. I've experimented with many of the best and this is one of them. Only the Gold label from Cavelli is better but it's considerably more expensive and though I love great Balsamic's I do have limits.

It may seem like a very decadent extravagance to spend so much for such a small amount of vinegar, and I suppose it is, but it's really worth it if you have acquired a taste for great balsamic. We use it regularly on salads, etc, and it still lasts about 4 months.

This one will give an idea of what very god aged balsamic vinegar tastes like without having to take out a loan. A good QPR. And the little bottle lasts longer than one would think.

Why would a Wisconsin seller change brands on my last order? New Colby is DRIED OUT ON EDGE TOUCHING PLASTIC WRAP. TEXTURE IS V POOR. TASTE IS WORSE STILL. I have literally bought 50 loaves over last few years. That was A plus. This Colby is so poor, do not buy. Go to you local meat butcher. It leaves a terrible aftertaste in your mouth. Seriously, I think they have gone bonkers in Wisconsin. DO NOT BUY!

Columbus Salame Company Italian Dry Salame V2 Paper Wrap 3 Pound

This stuff is so good, I miss being able to just go over to the store and buying it, but they don't seem to sell it on the east coast except online. Great for sandwiches, and on crackers, or just eat it by itself. It is perfect for any occasion.

This is the best salame. I look forward to our trip to California every year for the fun and I know that there is always a log of this stuff at everyone of our family members house. Never really looked into buying it online but now I can enjoy this all the time.

Having travelled extensively in Italy, I had huge hopes for Columbus's Salame Secchi (Authentic Italian Recipe).

Horribly overpriced, the many tiny rolls arrived at my house somewhat "mushy." It was excessively greasy with little or no taste. The casing (as mentioned in many reviews above) stuck to the actual product and was difficult to get off. I hung the rolls up in my kitchen to dry out and my cats weren't even interested enough to take a bite.

I served it at my daughter's catered graduation party with some inexpensive grocery store salami and guess which one disappeared while the Columbus Salame was barely touched. After the party, I did a taste comparison and the grocery store brand was "head and shoulders' above the Columbus product.

I don't understand how this company can stay in business. The product is horrible tasting and horribly priced. Even if it was cheaper than the grocery store brand, I would not buy it again.

I have to believe company representatives write the favorable reviews above.
