It is harvested for only a short amount of time every year, and it never crystalizes in the jar because it is so pure. Hence it's price. But it's worth every penny. If you are a honey lover....or just occasionally like a bit of natural sweetness in your tea, this will give your tea,toast, or crumpets an incomparable flavor. Not too sweet, not too strong. Smooth. Satisfying. Just right. Personally, I think it accents white tea, vanilla bean tea, oolong tea, or fruit flavored teas perfectly!

Oh....and for those of you CSI Miami fans, Tupelo Honey is what was used in the series premiere! They showed it being eaten off of sweet apples....and...well, insinuated it being eaten off of some other luxuries that I won't get into. *smirk*

As for the brand of Savannah Bee Company.... I have never been disapointed in any purchase I have made from them. It is always high quality. Williams-Sonoma also carries this brand and the Tupelo-type at certain times of the year. Bath & Body Works had them make a Tupelo Scented Hand Soap earlier this year (which was very true-to-smell!!!). I have had great experiences no matter where I have bought their products from.

I was relieved to find this sought-after commodity on Amazon. I was able to get my Savannah Bee Company 100% Pure Tupelo Honey Tower 'fix.' I guess you could call me an 'enabler' too since I set my own honey-trap and ensnared my husband as well. This is the first time I have tasted Tupelo honey. My wife is an avid fan of honey and I wanted to get her something special for her Christmas stocking. I researched different honeys online and Tupelo caught my interest. I like the taste of it. It seems not as sweet as the regular honey sold in grocery stores.

These Wine Gums are a travesty, whose only vaguely comparable aspect to Maynard's Wine Gums is that their title contains the words "gums" and "wine".

I bought these in a store in Ann Arbor, MI, and I wish I had never parted with the cash. Frankly, the manufacturer should be supported by the Chocolate candy industry as a useful tool in their marketing arsenal to ward people from ever trying anything that did not broadly contain chocolate, and towards their own advertised products.

They are effectively some kind of gum, that has been colored. Nothing more. They are flavorless, and seem more like they were the very first attempt to make Wine Gums while the company were just working towards the right consistency an effort still clearly in progress. I'd brand these 'Wine Gums version 0.001'!

Maynard's despite not being the gold-standard are still massively better than these, and anyone looking to partake of true Wine Gums will find a better experience going with that variety.

Not in any way comparable to Maynards or Rowntrees. Bland, chalky, obviously artificially flavored things that are worse than the no-name gummy candies you get at Walmart.

Selected by the Institut coopératif du vin in Montpellier among numerous killer strains isolated and studied by Pierre Barre at INRA, the K1V-1116 strain was the first competitive factor yeast to go into commercial production and has become one of the most widely used active dried wine yeasts in the world.

Oenological properties and applications

The K1V-1116 strain is a rapid starter with a constant and complete fermentation between 10° and 35°C (50° and 95°F), capable of surviving a number of difficult conditions, such as low nutrient musts and high levels of sulfur dioxide (SO2) or sugar. Wines fermented with the K1V-1116 have very low volatile acidity, hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and foam production.

The K1V-1116 strain tends to express the freshness of white grape varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc and Seyval. The natural fresh fruit aromas are retained longer than with other standard yeast strains. Fruit wines and wines made from concentrates poor in nutrient balance benefit from the capacity of K1V-1116 to adapt to difficult fermentation conditions. Restarts stuck fermentations.

Highly recommended for dry whites, aged reds, and late harvest wines.

I've used a few of these for concord grape wine, peach wine and currently blackberry wine. They work very well and keep in the fridge nicely too. Good deal on multiple envelopes if you're fermenting often! :)

great yeast for homebrewed mead, outcome tastes better than of lalvin ec 1118. but very cloudy. just not so pleasant on sight.

This stuff explodes out of the gate, fast start I've used it for both chocolate and strawberry mead. Very active with a complete fermentation. I will use it again.

The wine is still makiing so I won't know for a while whether it will taste yeasty but the fact that it is still working is an indicator that it is doing it's expected job. We'll know in a month or so!

This is particularly true of the Murray River area, where the grapes in the Australian Riverland Reserve wine kit by Winexpert originate. Like all its World Vineyard kits, the Australian Riverland Reserve comes with easy-to-follow instructions. The entire four-step process from mixing to bottling shouldn't take more than three or four hours of your time altogether, and will be completed in under six weeks. Age for at least two months after bottling, although with further aging up to a year the wine will continue to improve.

Champagne Wine Vinegar 6.8ozI had heard that champagne vinegar was good from TV CHEFS and cooking magazines. I realize now just what I was missing. I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed. A little goes a long way!

I really like this champagne vinegar. There is plenty of taste, but it's not overpowering. I have tried it on fish and vegetables and both were excellent. I also made a salad dressing with it that turned out REALLY good. I highly recommend.

The Pomegranate is the stronger smell, overwhelming the apple. The fizz isn't nearly as fizzy as Martinelli's, and the taste is sharp with a strong bite. The Pomegranate gives it a fair amount of acidity without too much of a tang. The bite overwhelms the finish as it fizzles away. The apple can be tasted, but acts more to tone down the pomegranate. It went very well with the lemon chicken we had, which was already pretty acidic. The Chicken was pretty light, yet still strongly acidic, and this Sparkler went well with it. It's sweet, but much dryer than any of the other sparkling juices we've had, and cleanses the palette much like the dealcoholized wines I've had. Less of a soda than other sparkling juices I've tried so far, with smaller bubbles. It's not flat, just finer. This doesn't have a head, while the others generally have a bit of one. This one also has continues tiny bubbles drifting upwards, where the others I've tried so far (Welch's Red and their White sparkling juices, as well as R.W. Knudsen's Sparkling Pear Juice and Martinelli's Sparkling Apple Grape) just have bubbles that are stagnant, attached to the side of the glass (in general.)

Did I like it: Yes, both my wife and I enjoyed it quite a bit. 9 out of 10.

My family & I adore sparkling juices. It was great to find one with more antioxidants than just grape or apple alone. I bought this once for a special family gathering. The next time I went to purchase it, the price had gone up higher than I was willing to pay. If it goes on sale again, I will buy.

Cabernet Vinegar - 8.46 ozThis Cabernet Vinegar from Spain is a good substitute for the Five Monks line that was discontinued. It has an excellent flavour and acidity for cooking. However, I recommend ordering at least two bottles because shipping will kill the savings of getting just one bottle. Almost doubles the cost.

Vanilla Fig Balsamic Vinegar 11.8 OzI buy this balsamic vinegar regularly and love it! For those of you unfamiliar with artisan balsamic vinegars, this vinegar is almost more of a sweetish syrup rather than the very watery, overly vinegar-y types you may be more familiar with. A little bit goes a long way. I make my salad dressing with it: 50/50 blend of virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. You can also mix a bit with olive oil and dip bread into it, and drizzle it over veggies. It's truly wonderful stuff. I never buy "regular" vinegar anymore. I am hooked on this stuff, and you will be too!

Best flavored balsamic I have ever had. Great alone on any salad or as a glaze on meats. Fantastic. Anxious to try their other flavors.

When I first received some of this as a gift, I thought it sounded wierd. But after experimenting, I found it to make an incredible salad dressing. It's especially good when combined with some roasted hazelnut oil, olive oil, fresh herbs, and carmelized onions for an amazing vinaigrette. I'd never want to be without this item in my pantry!
