Reserve Du Chateau 4 Week Wine Kit, German Nierstiner, 17.5-Pound Box

I bought this wine kit because I wanted to find a nice white wine that I could let age a while before I gave it to any family or friends. When this wine was complete, it tasted a little thin to me. However, 3.5 months of aging brought it a lot way and it tastes wonderful. I highly recommend this kit if you just want to make a batch of wine to age and enjoy down the road. I can only imagine how good it will taste in another 6 months to a year.

This isn't Debra, it's husband Mike. I just finished bottling my Niersteiner. The kit called for a finish of 30 bottles (6 gallons) but I made it a 5 gallon finish instead and the wine tastes very good, like a Riesling a little bit, but Niersteiner comes from a different grape. Made 5 gallons because with the amount of juice the kit has I felt the wine would be thin and I plan on entering this wine in competitions. I also made a tannin addition to the wine which adds to the rich flavor but it also made the wine throw a slight pectin haze visible if you hold a bottle to the light. I would and have reccomended these kits to friends and currently have 3 other Reserve Du Chateau kits going, one of them being another Niersteiner. Partners Wisecrackers Low Fat Crackers, Spicy Pepper, 4-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6)

I was very disappointed in these crackers. The pepper does not stay on the crackers...it falls off, leaving a very dry & unflavorful cracker that is NOT spicy-peppery.

I have tried a lot of crackers and these are the best. My favorite thing is to spread Saint Andre' on them and add a glass of wine or two! You can't go wrong with any variety of Wise Crackers, but I like the Spicy Pepper Melange best.

I have been buying these from my local grocery store for a while now and was VERY happy to see the Wisecrackers available on Amazon at about 40% below the grocery store prices (and with free delivery)! Cannot beat that! Aside from the price, why do I buy Wisecrackers:

1) TEXTURE and CRUNCH: They are much tougher then regular crackers. They hold MUCH better when you need them for a dip, or a base for a topping. They allow you to "feel" the crunch and take a loooong time before getting soggy when covered with a topping.

2) TASTE: They taste almost like bread crust, with ONLY 110 calories and 2g of fat for ten good sized crackers (each is about two inches by two inches).

REGARDING THE FLAVOUR: I like the sesame variety the most, for their neutral aftertaste. The Pepper variety is not as versitile; in fact, it is quite spicy. You will have to choose the dips and the toppings carefully. However, they can be eaten alone as well, as a light in-between-meal snack.

Mrs Bridges Port Wine Jelly, 7 Ounce

I could barely taste the port, and the sugar was overpowering. However, I am not a huge sugar eater so for someone who is, this might be satisfactory or even great!

Have been searching the supermarkets for wine jelly and nobody in my area seems to carry it. Saw it on Amazon and ordered it and was very pleased with the product. Lovely flavor. I have it on a bagel spread first with cream cheese and then spread the wine jelly on top of the cream cheese. Lovely breakfast with a great cuppa coffee!!
