Haribo Wine Gums in Resealable Bag - 500 g

I usually buy these at our local European grocer (for less than Amazon's price).

I'm kind of a gummy nut, and these are my favorite gummy candy ever. The texture is perfect not too soft like cheap gummy bears, and not too firm like a stale Haribo bear. The tastes are far more complex and distinctive than any other gummy. You can easily tell the different flavors apart by taste and they're all great. Not overly sweet, good fruit flavors. A nice "grown up" gummy.

You can't just eat one or two if you are a gummy candy eater, my bag only lasted two days so I had to order more, they are wonderful.....if you like twizzlers you will like wine gums, but they don't have any wine in them....(pity)....will be buying more, at world food import stores wine gums are expensive, so I will be getting mine through Amazon in the future......................thank you.....

12 Ounces of Guyaux Chocolatier Truffles in Gift Box

I have purchased Guyaux Truffles at least 10 times over the past few years (always as gifts, unfortunately). Unless you are someone who can *only* eat really dark chocolate (which I also truly love) this is the most amazing chocolate you can possibly buy. Every person I have seen eat them literally closes their eyes in a look of rapture and sighs. It is rich, it is sweet, it is chocolate heaven. I promise that if you try some as your recipient opens it . . . you'll regret not getting yourself a box as well. ;)

As a side note, if you ARE someone who really needs dark chocolate, the best I have ever eaten is Green & Black's Single Bar Organic Dark 85%. I don't know what makes it so much better than everyone else's, but it is to die for. Keep in mind that it is REALLY dark and not that sweet. :)

Holiday Party Cheese and Sausage Assortment Gift Box

I asked my brother, who is a chef, how he felt about the quality of the product he received and if he could recommend it to anyone. His comments were that quality was excellent and he would enjoy having it again in the future as a gift. He looked at the idea of buying something similar from Hickory Farm in the Mall where he lives since Mother's Day caught him and me by surprise since it arrived a week early this year and he came to the conclusion that this product was far better product than anything he could find in the Mall. I had thought Hickory Farm would work since he would have physical access to viewing any items from them and his comment was that Wisconsinmade, this company whose product I am reviewing, did a far better job in quality and produce. I think that says it. For those who see only volume and not quality, stay with the grocery store, it will give you lots of volume if that is your criteria. I will note that I bought a couple of these products from this company and I have copied the same review to each so that people will know that this company has excellent quality. Quality cheese and quality sausage is expensive and this company makes it well.

This is an okay gift box, only if you like mediocre cheese and summer sausage. The items are small, smaller than they appear in the picture. I only paid $30, but I would not purchase it again. On the positive side, the mustard samples that come with it make the items edible.

Chilean Malbec Shiraz with Crushed Grape Skins (Selection International)

What is better than a Shiraz or a Malbec wine? What about a wine that combines the two grapes into something that contains the best features of both wines? This is what the Selection "Chilean Malbec Shiraz" wine kit from Winexpert has done. The result is a wine that contains the rich flavors of the Shiraz grape with the plum, blackcurrant, and violet aromas of the Malbec grape. This medium-full bodied dry red wine pairs well with roasted meats and rich stews. It also goes well with bittersweet chocolate.

The Selection Chilean Malbec Shiraz is one of several wine kits that contain grape skins, a relatively new feature from Winexpert. These grape skins are placed in a porous cloth during the primary fermentation stage and are then discarded prior to the secondary fermentation. Very little additional work is involved as a result, and so, like the other Winexpert kits, this one is easy to make. My experience with these kits has taught me that the total amount of time that will be spent over the six to eight week period from mixing to bottling won't be more than four hours. Of course, aging is a different story. I would recommend a minimum of six months after bottling before opening the first bottle. And save some for later. This wine will continue to mature for well over a year.
