Marukan Rice Vinegar Unseasoned, 1-Gallon Jars

Marukan Rice Vinegar Unseasoned, 1-Gallon JarsThis is the best rice vinegar. Locally we can only buy it in the little bottles. Buying this gallon, even with the pricey shipping, is cheaper than buying piecemeal. So now we're set for a year or so! Still, really wish Amazon would gear up with a true online grocery store, all with Prime shipping. As regards the fulfillment, I can't honestly say. My guess is they did a good job. Our shipment suffered from a double whammy: delays from the east coast hurricane, then disappearing into the black hole known as FedEx Smartpost. Once they get their hands on an item, no telling when or where it will emerge.

Kraft Greek Vinaigrette Dressing & Marinade, 16-Ounce Plastic Bottles (Pack of 6)

Kraft Greek Vinaigrette Dressing & Marinade, 16-Ounce Plastic BottlesLove that grilled chicken at your favorite Greek restaurant? Here's a way you can make it at home:

Generously coat the chicken with the Kraft Greek Vinaigrette dressing, and let sit several hours in the refrigerator overnight is best. Throw the chicken on the barbeque, grill, and ENJOY!

I'm getting hungry just thinking about it....

'Kraft Greek Vinaigrette Dressing' is my new favorite salad dressing, even more so than 'Good Seasons Italian', which had formerly stood the test of time as my all-time favorite. This dressing has only 2 carbs/serving and only 1 sugar/serving, which for me, makes it an ideal low-carb choice, for those of us who embrace a low-carb lifestyle. It embodies a true Greek feta-cheese flavor throughout this recipe. I do enjoy this offering from Kraft Foods. A real winner!

[FFP] Mia's Kitchen Balsamic Vinegar, 2 Count

[FFP] Mia's Kitchen Balsamic Vinegar, 2 CountBackground:

First, let me say I am NOT a foodie or a balsamic connoisseur. However, I do love balsamic vinegar. As I am also frugal, I usually buy the mid-priced (cheaper) stuff at my local grocery store, so I usually have it with oil on my salads, as the variety I usually get needs the oil to mellow it out a bit. I knew there were better ones out there, but I am always afraid to spend too much on something I haven't tried my frugal nature shudders a the thought of wasting money on something disappointing. And with balsamic, it can get really pricey.

I discovered Mia's Kitchen balsamic on a recent trip staying at a friend's house. I was immediately in love with this balsamic, and a bit sheepishly ended up using my friend's entire bottle over the course of two weeks. Before I left, I bought her a replacement bottle at her local Safeway, and vowed to seek it out when I got home.

I used it on my saladsit was great alone and I didn't need the oil to mellow it out. I also used it on fresh peaches and strawberries, and as a sauce straight out of the bottle for pork. All delicious, and miles beyond what I had been used to.

When I got home from my trip, I was disappointed that our local Safeway didn't have it, but was delighted to find it here on Amazon and for less than I had paid for my friend's replacement bottle bonus!

I gave it four stars because of the condition it arrived in. When I opened my shipment, it seemed hastily packaged (there was very little cushioning material beyond the bottle's form-fitting hard paper cocoon), and one of the bottles had leaked a bit on the packaging, which alarmed me at first.

However, no glass was broken, and while the neck of the bottle was a bit sticky, the seal and the contents of the bottle seemed fine, and I've gone through about half of the bottle with no ill effects. I didn't notify the company, so cannot attest to the customer service, except that it did arrive well within the expected time frame.

Chipotle Sour

Chipotle SourWhen I was on a business trip in March, I visited a restaurant and had a chipotle margarita. It was the most amazing drink. As soon as I returned home, I did a search for the chipotle sour mix on Amazon, found it, and ordered it. It arrived a few days later, and I made a margarita with it. It is just the best a blend of the smoky chipotle flavor, sweet and sour flavor, and spicy hot. I mixed it with margarita mix and tequila, and it turned out great, but the company has a website with many different recipes. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys margaritas and likes spicy hot flavors and chipotle.

Vino Italiano 4 Week Wine Kit, White Merlot, 5.1 Liter

Vino Italiano 4 Week Wine Kit, White Merlot, 5.1 LiterI have been making wine kits since 2004 at the rate of 1 kit per week. I have been buying mostly the Wine Expert/Vintners Reserve kit. These are very good kits. I thought I would try the Vino Italiano kit as the Wine Expert are getting pretty pricey.I couldn't believe for $44 you could get the corks, labels, etc.PLUS the kit.The 1st thing i noticed when making the kit was how the thicker consistency of the juice, this explains the smaller 15.5 ounce package (more concentrated). This kit requires an extra racking but makes the wine clear up much faster than the Vintners. When I tried this Merlot before bottling I was so surprised at the flavor. It is a drier white which I prefer. The body is comparable to any I have made and I liked it so much I subscribed to once a month delivery and saved an additional 15%-unbelievable!I have also tried the Riesling, very good as well. I now have a Pinot Chardonnay, Valpolicella, and a Merlot going and expect them to be just as good. These are the best deal for price and quality I have found to date and will continue to use these as long as they are available at this price!

I really like these wine making kits. I've been making wine since the 80's,and these kits are the greatest. I've been amazed by some reviewer's complaints. Come on now,do you really think that all of the equipment for wine making would be include in a $44 kit? You will need about $200 worth of equipment to start, but after that these kits will make a great wine for $2 to $3 dollars a bottle. Pay no attention to those who think they know wine ,while criticizing the juices. I've often filled expensive bottles with this wine as a test for supposed wine experts. They have never noticed! Take all reviews (including this one) with a grain of salt. But ,if you want a really good easy to make wine, try these kits. Just don't forget to let it age for a very minimum of 1 year before tasting.

A light blush table wine, this kit was a hit with friends and family this Christmas. Two and a half cups of cane sugar were added prior to bottling. Alcohol content was approximately 12%. Flavor best when served very lightly chilled.
