Wine.com Especially for You This Holiday Gift Box

Wine.com Especially for You This Holiday Gift BoxLet's start this with Amazon took care of the issue with this product promptly and courteously so FIVE STARS for them. Now the abysmal packaging and quantity/quality of this product. Run, stay away, don't think about it, just keep moving along. Not in a holiday box but in a brown box with a 11"x14" piece of colored paper that can be taped to the front to cover the cellophane. And no little view hole either like the picture. The brown box it comes in is about 5" deep but the interior brown box of contents is supported by 3" of cardboard underneath. The 2" deep contents box has 1" of scrap paper pressing the contents into the cellophane. So what is in that 1"x11"x14"? Not much! 1 packet of hot chocolate for a 6 oz cup? That's like a shot. The littlest 3-4 packages of other stuff not worth mentioning but think 1/3 the size of a small kids lunch bag of chips. The mustard is in a jar smaller than what the airlines serve jelly in. (1 Oz). The cheese wheel is more cardboard and little cheese. The knife to cut the cheese came out of some playdooh set.

Let's just say this isn't worth $5 and due to the packaging, it can't be gifted without shame.

This was advertised as a 2.5 lb gift. The total food was 20.12 oz or half of what should have been in there

The crackers were stale. Why include a small jar of mustard that didn't go with anything? The only decent tasting items were the two (less than an ounce) Ghiradelli candies. Many of the cheese straws were broken pieces.

I consider it to be a total waste of money and false advertising.

There was nothing in the package that indicated who sent the gift. The recipients contacted Amazon who has still not responded. This is quite embarassing. This inferior service does not reflect the usually impecable service provided by Amazon.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program These were okay, but the cookies were stale, and I didn't like the spread. The nuts were the best part, but I think for the price, it's not really worth it.

Monin Black 11 Bottle Rack (01-0045) Category: Drink Syrups

Monin Black 11 Bottle Rack Category: Drink SyrupsI've had this for a year now and it's done it's job. The only complaint I have is when I got it, the bars were a little tweeked of the structure of the rack, so it didn't sit quite evenly. I have an eye to detail so this has always bothered me, but other than that it is great.

I love these stands! The layers help keep all of our snow cone syrups looking nice and allows us to have more flavors in a smaller space. This is very study too. We bought 2.

Noirot Orange Flower Water from France - 8.5 fl oz

Noirot Orange Flower Water from France - 8.5 fl oz, OneI recently went to dinner at a Moroccan restaurant and has the most delicious fruit salad there. What made the dish so special was the combination of orange blossom water and mint that the fruit pieces were stewed in. I bought this product to recreate the dish, and love it. I also put it in a combination of espresso and hot milk, along with cardamom, to make an authentic north African-style coffee and it is far better than anything you can buy in a fancy cafe. Granted, orange blossom water is and acquired taste, and I would not recommend tasting it by itself. It is much better served in small portions, mixed with fruits, nuts, coffees, teas, and pastries. A superb product!

After reading the listing I thought it would be similar to the old French bottle brand that is no longer made, but it is not. I needed this to make my Ramous Gin Fizz. It is not as strong and is not even close to the fromer French brand.

I bought this one along with rose water. I use it to make flavoured milk (yes, very mild orange flavoured milk). I have to use only a half teaspoon or so for a cup of milk. Also, this goes very well with backlava.

No complains so far. It is almost over now. I have to buy another bottle. I would recommend this to anyone.

Distiller's Yeast (DADY) (1 lb. bulk pack)

Distiller's YeastThis is an extremely vigorous top fermenting yeast. As stated it is very alcohol resistant. The actual tolerance of this yeast strain for alcohol is somewhat higher then the stated 22%, however the rate of fermentation does slow considerably above 22%.

This yeast strain also does not have any problem functioning in high gravity sugar solutions. So, I have found it unnecessary to do multi-stage fermenting. This is a moderate sulphur producing yeast. Nothing that should be a problem given some conditioning.

The flavor profile is actually fairly neutral, with just a little fruitiness. There is noticeable phenol alcohol production at temps above 80F. This is a bit of a "take no prisoners" kind of yeast. As in, it tends to ferment anything even remotely fermentable. In that way it's a bit like a champagne yeast.

Overall, I'm very pleased indeed. This is a great yeast for un-sticking your fermentation, or for making a fast batch of cider. Unless you like your cider very dry, you will probably want to cold-crash your cider during peak fermentation. If you wait until primary fermentation is done, your likely to end up with rocket fuel instead of cider.

Proofed good, no delay or after taste for wine. Honey wine, apple cider, pumpkin cider, changing grape juice to wine.

Very good Yeast with a good alcohol yield.I will be buying more. I also advise some yeast nutrients for those who are serious and advance with their brewing/distilling practices.

We make a lot of extract beer. Instead of the minuscule amounts of yeast usually in packets, having a jar of good yeast is great. It overwhelms any possible infection in beer by enabling the use of tablespoons, not a teaspoon or less of yeast at the start of fermentation. We have not yet had a bad batch of beer using this.

While I did not buy this product on Amazon, I will the next time I need it. Which should be soon. This is a highly aggressive yeast and will convert anything. Keep away from small children. LOL.

This stuff is the best. I use a cold wash recipe where I do not boil the grains and though it does increase the time, it makes a clean product. After proofing the yeast and pitching I wait one hour and stir. Next morning I stir. Next morning I stir. I wait and check ABV and when I think I am at that point, this takes about another 5 to 7 days depending upon temp, I stir one more time and let sit til next day. Constant 20 to 24 percent each time. First runs come out at 130 to 140 Proof each time and very clean. Tails come out ar 80 proof constant. Produces a very clean and favorable taste. Also, I take a gallon of the backset (liquid left over after distillation) from previous batch and and add to next mash run. This gives me the proper acidity and a bunch of nutrients to make yeast even happier. Also called a sour mash. I remove 1/3 of the grain each time from my fermenter and add sufficient grains to take up the slack. I have tried other yeasts, but this is so far my very favorite. I think if you give it a try, it will be yours too. P.S. I drop a 1/4 tsp. into my Irish stout beer recipe with a little extra corn sugar and get export stout ABV. Do this halfway through fermenting. Nice............
