This is a fantastic syrup! Follow the "Prickly Pear Margarita" recipe on the flap...it is unbelievable! Also good as just a splash into some cold OJ for a different taste. I would definitely recommend to anyone with a taste for the southwest!

I first tried a prickly pear margarita at a bar in Michigan, which peaked my interest in learning how to make one since it was so tasty. I kept trying to figure out how this drink was made, so I tried my own concoction when I stumbled across this syrup online. This is a real find if you love nougat. This is better than the nougat we sampled in France and Switzerland. The candy is chewy but not too hard. The flavor is wonderful and you get a lot of candy for the price.

Bought this as office holiday presents, and it was very well received. This nougat is very fresh, soft, tasty. It is sweet, but not too sweet. Has a wonderful texture. I sent some to my mother in law and she really enjoyed it. I'll definitely buy this again and recommend it to my friends.

French Merlot (Selection International)

I have always been pleased with the wine kits that I have made from the Selection International Series by Winexpert. The merlot is no exception. I made this some time ago and it turned out extremely well. I would rate it as one of the best merlots I have ever tasted.

The Selection International kits are extremely simple to make. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. It is almost impossible to not make a great batch of wine, provided you carefully follow the instructions. The total amount of time you will have to take from the initial mixing to bottling is just a few hours, and that includes sanitizing your equipment and cleanup. The time from mixing to bottling is typically 6-8 weeks, and a kit makes approximately 30 750ML bottles. With the Merlot it is a good idea to wait several months before beginning to consume the wine, since it definitely continues to develop with age.

Also, if possible, use a plastic carboy rather than a glass one. They are as easy to clean and are extremely lightweight. This makes lifting the filled carboy much easier.
