Art of Appreciation Gift Baskets That's Amore! Romantic Italian Dinner For Two Picnic Hamper

Art of Appreciation Gift Baskets That's Amore! Romantic Italian Dinner For Two Picnic HamperThe picture shows: cheese straws, a jar, fake grapes and fake leaves. None of these were included in the package. There were no instructions on how to prepare the pasta neither here nor on the manufacturer's website. The quality of the products was very poor. It's not worth $62.18 at all (the items probably cost $15.00 at your local grocery store). I'll be asking for a refund and let you know if I get one.

Update: I did get a refund. That's why Amazon is great!

I was disappointed with the gift basket. Dinner for two? My husband could eat the contents of this basket as a snack. The pasta is enough for one person (6 oz) and there wasn't a jar of sauce to go with it. The basket should be advertised more as an antipasto than a dinner basket since most of the items would typically be served before dinner, (olives, crackers, cheese, bread sticks, etc).

I had this basket sent to my sister. The picture shows you what's supposed to be in this package. There was a glass of something on the side with the top of a supposid bottle of wine in the basket. When it was delivered, there was no bottle of wine. Just some crackers and cheese...NOT worth the money. However, It was shipped in time...Not happy that it doesn't have the full decription on Amazon.

I purchased this to give as part of our company gift to a coworker who was getting married. I paid over $80 $52 for the gift and $30 for overnight shipping. WHAT A WASTE!!! The product is certainly not as advertised. The basket is so tiny, that it may be a decent picnic basket for a toddler. There were 4-5 tiny products inside. There was not even a note attached, that is had specified would be. I was seriously embarrassed to give this is a gift. It's worth about $10, if that. I had to run out to the store and purchase a few bottles of wine just to fill the sparse basket so it didn't look so cheap. WHAT A JOKE THIS WAS!!! We are a group of dissatisfied cutomers and will NEVER purchase from this company again.

My husband ordered this for me for our anniversary as he is deployed. This is a lovely little basket and the contents are just wonderful. I read some of the other reviews that stated that they didn't feel they got what they paid for, but this was not my experience.

The basket I received contained pasta, dry sauce mix, herbs, cheese straws, crackers, merlot cheese dip, olives, and a small bottle of sparkling cider. Everything arrived in perfect condition and I am looking forward to sharing these goodies with my husband when he returns home.

Taste of Crete Evangelia's Greek Cookies with Olive Oil and Wine, 5-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 4)

Taste of Crete Evangelia's Greek Cookies with Olive Oil and Wine, 5-Ounce BoxesI like Taste of Crete cookies. There are three kinds: orange, grape, and regular. All three are made with olive oil, so I suppose they are more healthful than most cookies. They do not taste like olives any more than ordinary cookies taste like corn or soybeans. Olive oil is simply the fat they were made with and is better than most.

They are small like vanilla wafers but kind of hard, like pfeffernuesse. You wouldn't just put them in a disk of ice cream: you can't break them with a spoon. If someone stabs them, they might shoot out of the dish. But they are chewy and fun and might be served as finger food with tea, coffee, or cheese.

The plain variety have a mild nuttiness from sesame. The orange ones have a delicate fragrance, are not orangey or acidic, and are good with tea. The grape ones are my favorite and taste like raisins rather than grapes. The grape syrup has oxidized in baking and makes them brown. Their dark flavor reminds me of ginger snaps.

They stay fresh for more than a week after opening the container. I keep a box in my office and nibble a few when I must miss a meal. Three cookies have 130 calories, slightly less than a slice of bread with a pat of butter.

Reserve Du Chateau 6 Week Wine Kit, California Chardonnay , 55-Pound Container

Reserve Du Chateau 6 Week Wine Kit, California Chardonnay , 55-Pound ContainerI'm starting this wine tomorrow. It looks like its all juice and will produce 6 gallons of wine without adding any water. If it turns out like I expect, it will be a winner. I've recently purchased other wine kits from Amazon and so far they've all proven to be great hits.

Great wine, , great price, no shipping charges, no tax ........ priceless. Join the subscription and get another 15% off.

I'll update you in about 7 weeks. I'm predicting great results.

UPDATE: 7/2/2012

I did a secondary racking yesterday. I did a taste test also and my wife and I loved it. My wife is the expert and she said it's better than anything she buys. Will bottle 7/12 and update again.

UPDATE: 7/25/2012

I've bottled this and have handed it out to friends that are serious wine drinkers. They think it's very good and my wife said order another...

I have been making homemade wine for about 2 years now, 1-2 kits per month. I was never really a fan of Chardonnay but I tried this one, aged it four months, and it was wonderful. This one and Pinot Grigio are the two favorites of friends and our most requested. I have added this to my subscribe and save list of wines to make every 6 months. Amazon's subscribe and save price and policy just can not be beat.

For the first time wine maker this is simple. I tasted it as juice and I have tasted it each step along the way. (yum!) Who da thunk it could be this easy. I have racked it twice and will filter it and bottle it next. Great instructions and very easy to do. Thanks!

UPDATE 7/2013:

So the wine was racked 3 times. Since I do not plan on filtering the wine I should have racked it at least one more time. I have sampled it each step of the way. I am now seven months into the process. I bottled a few weeks ago. I was a bottle short of estimated numbers even though I topped it off (with good Chardonnay) along the way. Probably overfilled bottles and definitely slopped some around in the process of bottling... messy process.

The color is bright. It has nice aromas. The wine even has pretty good features in terms of soft on the tongue, full in the mouth and gentle finish. It does not bite but does hang nicely in the back of the mouth. I will try to remember to update when I crack the first bottle in January 2014.

Chipotle Sour

Chipotle SourWhen I was on a business trip in March, I visited a restaurant and had a chipotle margarita. It was the most amazing drink. As soon as I returned home, I did a search for the chipotle sour mix on Amazon, found it, and ordered it. It arrived a few days later, and I made a margarita with it. It is just the best a blend of the smoky chipotle flavor, sweet and sour flavor, and spicy hot. I mixed it with margarita mix and tequila, and it turned out great, but the company has a website with many different recipes. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys margaritas and likes spicy hot flavors and chipotle.
