Roland Extra Fine Cornichons (Gherkins), 148 Ounce Can

Furthermore, even if the cornichons are grown & packed in India, the quality is still there but not the refinement. Many of them still have a small stem attached.
In conclusion, this will not replace the french quality & refinement but for what we can find in the USA, for the quality/price, is still hard to beat especially when a Maille jar is selling for ~$5 (220g) in a grocery store & if you can find it!!!Oh dear God, these are truly awful cornichons. Soft and mushy in texture, their flavor is equally horrible and bears virtually no resemblance to real French cornichons.
In terms of taste, the Roland cornichons are best described as bland, watery, and peculiarly spiced. They are completely lacking the distinctive tart flavor of authentic French cornichons that pairs so perfectly with pâté, raclette, and other rich foods. The poor quality and flavor of these cornichons stems entirely from Roland's brine, which has far too little vinegar and too little salt to be suitable for cornichons and is unbalanced and incorrectly spiced. In fact, the brine contains so little vinegar and salt that it would be far better for making sweet, American-style gherkins.
Unlike authentic French cornichons, which are typically flavored primarily with white onion and tarragon, the only spice that one tastes in the Roland version is mustard seed, resulting in a final product that tastes much more like bread and butter pickles than real French cornichons.
Whereas most brands of cornichons, including Maille, Les Trois Petits Cochons, and even Trader Joe's, which are all made in France, Roland cornichons are labeled as a "Product of India". If you're looking for quality cornichons, I'd suggest that both the Roland name and the made in India designation are best avoided.

This very large can contains typical French style tiny gerghins. Very sharp and crunchy. If you are used to Dessaux brand or Amora brand, you will not be disappointed and the price is a fraction of what you pay in the better stores if they cary this item. When I saw that these were made in India I was a bit worried that they would not have the taste I was looking for, but they proved to be excellent (Vinegar, tarragon, pickling spices NO sugar) and tiny as supposed to be. I repack them for my pantry in recycled glass jars. Now I have good cornichons to accompany charcuterie and cold meats as well as making sauces, steak tartat and whatnot. I am very pleased and have added this item to my Amazon shopping list. Alas I am a bit in a pickle because I cannot stop eating them.Read Best Reviews of Roland Extra Fine Cornichons (Gherkins), 148 Ounce Can Here
Not really the French equivalent, but good nonetheless. So far, the best French cornichons I've found come from, of course, Germany.Want Roland Extra Fine Cornichons (Gherkins), 148 Ounce Can Discount?
All the reviews say this is big, and it is listed as 9 pounds, but that still didn't prepare me for what came in the mail. I portioned this out into about 10 standard pickle sized jars. I love pickles though, so this will probably only last me a few months. Maybe.Cypress Grove Midnight Moon (8 ounce) by igourmet

my one concern, when your child is teething. teething children gnaw on everything, and the handles & lid are NOT BPA free. my child started to chew on the handles and actually bit one of the rubber nubs off [i luckily got it before he swallowed it]. i have since put the handle cups away for after the "everything goes in my mouth" phase.
as for the drinking aspect of the cup, it isn't difficult to use. i started using these around 9 months and he had no problem. the straw uses compression to allow the liquid to come out, it also prevents it from spilling when not being used.
when reassembling, make sure you put the clear straw into the lid first, pull it until you hear a slight pop, and make sure it is over the hole. then push the white hard straw into the clear straw. it won't leak if you do it correctly.
overall, these cups are great if you are tired of helping your child lift up the sippy cup. the cleaning of them is just part of enjoying a product that let's your child drink independently. and cleaning them doesn't really take any more time than other cups i've tried.I was really attracted by the design of this cup. I was looking for something my son wouldn't have to tip up to drink from since he is just starting out, and can't get his bottle up in the air. It's a nice size, and the handles are perfect, he took to it right away. The problem is that he wasn't really able to drink out of it. He got a little bit, but became really frustrated. After washing it, I tried it out myself, and it really isn't easy to use!! It relies on using your lips to squeeze the straw and then sucking to get the water out. No wonder he got frustrated! I am going to keep it around, and keep trying here and there to see if he gets it, but I wish it was a little easier for him to use.

This product gets 5 stars because baby does not have to have to suction power of a Hoover to drink from it. It is totally leak proof. Shake it upside down, do whatever you want it will not leak. I offered this cup to my daughter the day she turned 7 months old and she figured out how to use the straw almost instantly! Very impressed. The one thing I don't like is that you cannot choose what color cup you want to order. We got lucky and ended up with a pink one, but I can only imagine having a boy and opening up the box to find a neon pink and green cup, yikes!Read Best Reviews of Nuby 2 Handle Flip n' Sip Straw Cup, 8 Ounce, 12 Months + Here
These are great cups that lasted us a long time. If you have a kiddo that chews on straws though watch out because the plastic does breakdown easy and can be a hazard. We bought several of these cups and then always had one available. I used them for about 21/2 years until we moved on to larger water bottles.Want Nuby 2 Handle Flip n' Sip Straw Cup, 8 Ounce, 12 Months + Discount?
I've bought prob 20 cups for my toddler and this one has probably held up the best. I'd definitely buy it again and would recommend it.
