Fontina Val d'Aosta Cheese (8oz or 1lb)

Fontina Val d'Aosta CheeseI've ordered three of these and use for potato, broccoli and cauliflower casseroles. It's very strong cheese (similar to Limburger) so combine with other cheese to mellow a bit.

My problem is more the Post Office delivery issue. We get our mail late in the day and the box rides in the heat for at least six hours before being delivered. Not only was the ice melted, the cheese had started to melt too. It's not a food safety issue as cheese can stay unrefrigerated for five days. Will order again as this makes great tasting veggie casseroles.

Fontina is the king of all cheeses, most of what is available is not from Val D'Aosta and a pale often tastless imitation. This one is the real thing

Mama Mia! Grand Italian Pasta Feast Gourmet Food Gift Basket

Mama Mia! Grand Italian Pasta Feast Gourmet Food Gift BasketThe quantity of the product is outstanding... everything tastes as wonderful as it looks. It's huge! P.S. love the basket!

I sent this basket to my son as we could not be together for Xmas for the first time in 21 years. The basket sure did not replace being together, but it was arranged with a lot of taste and the items were well chosen and of excellent quality. So this basket contributed to make somebody a little less sad for Xmas and I bet it can make other people happy all year long. A great way to say "You are important". Of course basket was delivered on time and in perfect condition.

Regretfully, there is more wrapping than food and we are really disappointed. From the description, we expected more. The delivery service was the only good thing about it. So, the sellers are good, but we made a wrong choice of the product.

Spiced Mustard Rub "Organic"

Spiced Mustard Rub 'Organic'I am not a picky eater. I love to try different foods, and enjoy nearly all ethnic foods. That said, this rub is awful. It is hard to describe a flavor in words, but the closest I can come are bitter, and rancid. It is not merely a taste we did not like, it is so bad it is almost impossible to eat. Save your money, and do not buy this like I did.

Wine Country Chef Spiced Mustard Rub:

This one was a real winner in more ways than one. Gretchen sort of ruled this one out from the beginning, almost didn't want to try it. But after I bit into that first bite of chicken breast, she gave it a try. Wow! Again, subtle flavors all around, nothing was overpowering. There was a bite of spice in it, and a great flavor of mustard that really made this something unique. Trying this on some grilled salmon is going to be a must in the very near future. Not sure what it is, but all of the organic spices we have tried are just perfect, as they do not overtake the meat! Organic Blend of Herbs and Spices to Warm Up Your Recipes! Rub it on lamb, spare ribs, chicken, and salmon. Add to dressings, stews, and soups.

Lindt Excellence Chilli Dark (Infused with Red Chilli) 3.5Oz

Lindt Excellence Chilli Dark 3.5OzOk, I'll come out of the closet and admit: I've tried to get used to it, but will never completely embrace a love for very, very dark chocolate. So sue me. It's just too bitter. Too lacking in that luxuriant creaminess which makes me adore milk chocolate -which for afficianados of "real" chocolate, really ain't chocolate at all. Oh, and don't forget the whole cause du jour of the "MUFA's" thing...monounsaturated fats. The stuff that's good for you, I've heard.

THIS stuff is the next best thing. The chili adds a wonderful bit of heat. Just right. The chocolate is slightly less than 50% "dark", if I get the gist of the nutrition label. For me the perfect blend: enough dark to please someone who eats it for health reasons (like THAT was ever why we fell in love with chocolate)...while retaining that lovely, melt-in-your-mouth-feel only something with enough fat can offer.

Heaven in small bites paired with something I relish as I write this: an equally non-snobular red table wine -Kendall Jackson's deeeelish "Summation" (heavier than my beloved Chianti, lighter than Merlot. In short, luscious perfection and balance. When I'm not sure what wine to bring, I can always rely on a KJ!)

Afraid of the dark? Fear not. Lindt's Excellence Chili Dark just might tempt you away from the light.

Not as spicy as I'd hoped, but still a good chocolate. Don't usually see this brand available for sale but definitely still enjoyed it.

I had mixed expectations. On one hand, Lindt does chocolate well. On the other hand, the actual cacao content is on the lower side with something like 47%. I was surprised at how smooth and chocolately the bar actually was. The pepper is just right. It is mellow and bites just a little after the chocolate melts away in your mouth. I have had similar blends at twice the price. For the money, this is a very good deal and a good experience. Try it.

I am not a fan of dark chocolate. In fact, I usually do not eat it but I was intrigued by this flavor. So I got a bar and it is awesome. The chili flavor is slow but brings a nice constant heat especially as an aftertaste. I highly recommend this flavor to people who like food with heat. Even those who may not like dark chocolate.

I enjoyed this bar of chocolate. Never thought chili and chocolate would go together, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the good flavor and taste, could feel the chili just right.
