Cornucopia Fruit Wine Kit, Red Black Current Cabernet Sauvignon, 16.4-Pound Box

Cornucopia Fruit Wine Kit, Red Black Current Cabernet Sauvignon, 16.4-Pound BoxI just finished bottling this, and talk about fruit forward!! WOW this stuff it fabulous! I decided to make it as a 5 gal batch instead of a 6 gal because I prefer a full bodied wine and the last time I made a 6 gal kit as a 6 gal batch it came out rather thin tasting. All the ingredients you need are in the kit including the rather nice surprise of corks, foils and labels. The instructions are simple and easy to follow, the hard part is not drinking it all at once. I definitely recommend it to fruit wine aficionados.

I was a little leary of ordering black currant. I've sampled some in the past and although it is a different flavor, I didn't care for the dryness of the wine. I should've known the Corunucopia brand wouldn't let me down. Not only does this have a different flavor, but the added sweetness that is typical of the Cornucopia kits is just right. Not the sweetest of them all however. I prefer this wine very chilled.

This wine met all my expectations. It has a lot of flavor and was easy to make. Will most likely buy it again. I love Black Currents for jams but never expected to enjoy them in wine.

Tower Of Sweets

Tower Of SweetsIt was a gift to someone. The size of the order was small. It would of been great,If it was a large size. Look bigger in the picture. Not suggesting to buy it.

Look for something better.

Someone sent this to my work and I ate it all before my coworkers could. They would be mad if they knew but they don't. What was once a tower of sweets is now in my seat.

Hudson Valley Foie Gras Grade A, fresh, raw, 1.5 to 1.7 lb

Hudson Valley Foie Gras Grade A, fresh, raw, 1.5 to 1.7 lbIt seems allthe reviews are from Vegans...so here's the real scoop. AMAZING. We happen to live in Hudson Valley, NY so a 45 minute drive later and we were at the actual farm. Let me tell you...top notch! The staff was not only knowledgeable & attentive, but heartwarmingly genuine in how the ducks are cared for. The USDA inspector held the door for us, so they are 100% on site. The froie GRAS...OMG. We bought this, cut it into servings & vacuum sealed to freeze. Nothing more succulent & delish than making your own. We also bought their duck legs & a breast. Haven't made the breast yet, but I made duck confit w/the legs and we are hooked! Fresh, delectable and five star restaurant quality!!!

OK, I've read enough of the negative stuff. How about this product. It is great if you want to pay the price and serve seared foie gras. After all over several million people do enjoy it. Should I name other "delicacies" of the same nature? I've been to a foie gras farm and seen it for myself. Have you ever been to a chicken slaughter house or beef slaughter house. Do those of you who review on cruelty alone and not the product think you would enjoy watching chickens with broken legs and wings trying to move around. As a chef, I have seen it all. Quite obviously those of you who claim cruelty for this one product have not. The product is excellent. It's up to you whether you buy it or not. Fact is, if you did your homework, you would be amazed at just how much extensive damage to the environment eating meat of any kind does to the planet. The product is great for those looking for foie gras, for those of you who are not, just don't buy it.

Animal torture is just a click away at Amazon.com.

Hidden-camera footage secretly recorded by a Mercy For Animals investigator at Hudson Valley Foie Gras--the country's largest foie gras producer--reveals the systematic abuse of animals whose diseased livers are sold on Amazon.

French for "fatty liver," foie gras is produced by shoving a metal pipe down the throats of ducks and force-feeding them three times a day for nearly three weeks. This painful process causes the birds' livers to swell up to ten times the normal size. These diseased, fatty livers are marketed as foie gras.

Wired with a hidden camera, MFA's investigator worked at Hudson Valley Foie Gras in New York and documented:

* Workers violently grabbing ducks by their wings and necks and then shoving a metal pipe down their throats to force-feed them

* Countless ducks hyperventilating as their unnaturally large livers pressed against their lungs making it difficult for them to breathe

* Dead ducks--killed by the cruel force-feeding process--callously thrown away into garbage bins

* Workers carelessly grabbing and tossing ducks by their fragile wings into transport cages

* Birds with open, bleeding wounds left to suffer in tiny wire cages without proper veterinary care

* Fully conscious ducks being shackled upside down and having their throats cut open, causing them to slowly bleed to death

Workers at this foie gras facility admit that the force-feeding process is so abusive that ducks routinely die from it. Some of the ducks simply choke to death, while others succumb to slow and painful suffocation as their unnaturally enlarged livers press against their lungs and make it impossible for them to breathe.

Force-feeding ducks to produce foie gras is so cruel it has been banned in California and more than a dozen countries. Costco, Safeway, Giant Eagle, Wolfgang Puck, and other leading retailers refuse to sell foie gras due to its inherent cruelty. Simply put, it's blatant animal abuse that no socially conscious business should support.

Yet Amazon, the world's largest online retailer, continues to sell over 300 foie gras products to consumers worldwide.

Huerto Azul Onion Jam in Merlot Wine (7.4 oz/210 g)

Huerto Azul Onion Jam in Merlot WineI was lucky enough to taste this Jam at a sample tasting... but afraid I may be hooked for life. Art of Appreciation Gift Baskets First Class Gourmet Food Picnic Hamper

Art of Appreciation Gift Baskets First Class Gourmet Food Picnic HamperI bought this for an anniversary picnic. Overall, I was none too happy. The salmon-dill spread looks, smells, tastes, and feels like cat food. The summer sausage was bland. The two highlights were the candied nuts (walnuts, I think) and the spiced cheddar cheese. The rest of the basket was not noteworthy. Next year, I'll be refilling the basket with better food for less money.

Reserve Du Chateau 4 Week Wine Kit, Australian Semillon Chardonnay, 17.5-Pound Box

Reserve Du Chateau 4 Week Wine Kit, Australian Semillon Chardonnay, 17.5-Pound BoxWe've been making kit wines for a couple of years now and have only just started experimenting. The RDC Aust. Semillon Chardonnay is a good kit on it's own. The wine is drinkable in a very short amount of time and gets better with a little age. It is semi-dry and crisp but has the complexity to offer more of the chardonnay with a little experimentation. To me,when the kit is made as is, it's more like a Sauvingion Blanc and pairs like one. We are in process of making our second batch of this kit and this is the first kit I can say that about. We plan to continue purchasing this kit and expanding on it by adding oak, berries and fruit juices in future batches. All in all, whether you are just getting into making kit wines or a serious enthusiast, I would highly recommend this kit.

This wine is great, especially for the price. And as a plus,,it comes with corks, labels and top cover. Will order more.

This wine kit came with everything you need to start making wine, if you already have the basics such as a carboy, hydrometer, syphon, and fermentation bucket. Getting ready to bottle it Tuesday, looks great and has cleared very well.

Reserve Du Chateau 4 Week Wine Kit, Chardonnay/Sauvignon Blanc, 20 Pound Box

Reserve Du Chateau 4 Week Wine Kit, Chardonnay/Sauvignon Blanc, 20 Pound BoxWhen I found this reserved the Château four-week wine kit. I was very surprised that you received two complete kits and this one box for the price of one really. Both the Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay white wine kits were very easy to make ready for bottling six weeks. I use a pump to rack my wines into a carboys which helps with degassing which saves a step of another week. I was skeptical at first ordering the wine kit because the description is vague but the product is superb. I recommend this to anyone both novice and pro winemaker

Cornucopia Fruit Wine Making Kit, White Peach Sauvignon Blanc, 17.5 Pound Box

Cornucopia Fruit Wine Making Kit, White Peach Sauvignon Blanc, 17.5 Pound BoxThe wine had a wonderful peach aroma (bouquet sounds too formal) and a good peach flavor. Some aging will tell the rest of the story. I did have a problem clearing the wine. Next time I'll have extra product on hand to clear a second time.

I have used this wine kit three(3)times. I normaly like My wines drier, but I like peach, and most of my friends love it because it is sweet. It's not high in alcohol content, but the point is not to get drunk, but to enjoy the wine and friends. This is one of my six (6)subscribe and save selections. The price is great for what you get.Cornucopia Fruit Wine Making Kit, White Peach Sauvignon Blanc, 17.5 Pound Box

Want Cornucopia Fruit Wine Making Kit, White Peach Sauvignon Blanc, 17.5 Pound Box Discount?

I've made three batches of the White Peach Sauvignon Blanc. After the first batch it received great reviews from my daughter and she began gifting my wine to her friends at work. I needed to start a second batch right away. I recently finished my third batch and in my opinion it's the best yet. The Cornucopia fruit wines are very sweet and I have found cutting back on the fruit flavoring which is added during the final phase and topping off the wine with some good Sauvignon Blanc makes the wine less syrupie and a little more like a good dessert wine.

Chateau Classico 6 Week Wine Kit, Australian Cabernet Shiraz, 40-Pound Box

Chateau Classico 6 Week Wine Kit, Australian Cabernet Shiraz, 40-Pound BoxI have made over 50 kit wines the past 6 years, mostly WineExpert kits bought locally. This was my first Amazon purchase and I am very pleased. My initial tasting supports this kit is on par with most I've made, and is 60% the cost! Even better, these kits come with 30 corks, 30 labels, and 30 shrink-wrap bottle top covers, making the purchase a no brainer for me. The claim that this is a 6-week kit is pushing it a bit. Take the time to do an additional racking to further clear the wine. This is especially the case if you want to oak the wine. I spent about 8 weeks completing this kit, and then racked onto french oak chips an additional 4 weeks. The taste before and after adding oak was very promising. It takes 6 12 months after bottling to craft a final impression, but I would definitely buy this kit again from what I currently have to go on. No kit wine will ever stand up to an expensive wine made by experts, but this kit yields vert pleasing results to a home wine maker like me ;-)

Instructions were clear, the juice is excellent. Everything has gone as planned so far 4 weeks into the process. I expect some very drinkable wine when all is said and done.
