I like to consider myself an expert on dirty martinis. Most people

think just buying a good vodka or gin is the answer. They are sorely

mistaken. The olive juice is what you need to perfect. Fortunately,

it has been done for all of us. Dirty Sue is by far the best olive

juice on the market. I was introduced to it at a party and it is

fantastic. Most other brands (and I've tried them all) are basically

salt water with a hint of olive. Dirty Sue is the perfect blend. It

actually has a very nice olive flavor with a subtle bite of salt. I

don't know how they do it, but please, keep doing it!

I tried dirty sue for the first time last week and I asked myself why wouldn't this be available in every bar and restaurant I visit? From this day forward I will never drink a dirty martini unless it is made with Dirty Sue!

I was not really sold on the fact that a specific olive juice would make a dirty martini better... I was buying some cheap olive juice at BevMo! Then I found this one on Amazon and after reading all the reviews decided to give it a try. It truly does make a difference!!! It is more expensive than what I was paying before, but it is well worth the money! Give it a try... you won't be disappointed.

This mix is absolutely delicious!

I ordered both this and the Boscoli to test them both, I found them both excellent Dirty Sue has a bit more punch.

I liked this one slightly better, but the price differential doesn't justify spending the extra. At least for me.

I've tried all different types of martinis and finally settled on the ICE COLD Grey Goose dirty martini as the best of them all. I then went in search of the best way to make them and finally stumbled across Dirty Sue. The other reviews are right Dirty Sue is just the right blend. The perfect ingredient for a perfect dirty martini. I highly recommend it. In fact, writing about it has made me thirsty. I'm going to go make one right now!

Red Star Montrachet

This yeast is more for red wines than mead, but its cheap and makes good mead. It has about a 13% alcohol tolerance and it makes full bodied, dry red and white wines.

I pitched some of this in a batch of apelfwein and it was very active by the next morning. It sounded like an aquarium bubbler in my carboys.

It also formed little very little head, so you can fill carboys almost full.

I like these crackers. They are light, not heavy or greasy. It has just right touch of black pepper, now overpowering. I got them in 6-pack. That 's going to last me for 6 months. So I don't know if they will still be good and fresh in that time. I wish they come in 2 box packages.

I bought this candy for my son, who spent time in France, and came to like it. We couldn't find much here locally, and nothing like the violet candy he had tasted, so I took a chance. He said it is the same he purchased in France, so he is happy. So am I! It was well packaged, which was a concern, since it's in a glass jar. I received the item very quickly. I'm very satisfied.

I've tried several violet flavored candies in the past, and this is my favorite. Along with the floral flavor/aroma, it also has a nice citrus undertone which complements it well. Expensive, but hard candies last a long time, unless you "chain suck" them like I sometimes do!

This candy has a very good flavor. It is quite unlike anything commonly available from the supermarket candy aisle.

I live in the middle of the corn-belt, so if you have access to a "real" candy store you may not find it so unique.

These candies have a mild flavor, when compared with CHoward's Violet candy, but they are delicious nevertheless. I will definitely purchase these candies again.

As other folks here have said, this is not a cheap indulgence. But if you love flower-flavored candy like I do, this is the one you want for violet flavor. The pieces are about the size of a nickel, but they fill your whole mouth with flavor, and they last a long time.

Lalvin Wine Yeast 71B 1122 Yeast 10 Packs (Strange Brew Home-Brew)

Made 6Gal of strawberry mead and it came out extremely good. In the past I used champagne yeast and there seems to be a difference with regard to finished flavor.

Made my wine (mead) taste great and nice and drunk I was after bottle one. No bad yeasty flavor either as with bread yeast.

I've been making honey mead for several years, and this is my second favorite brand. It does a great job fermenting, without going crazy and foaming out of the container. I like the results from Red Star Champagne yeast a little better, but I also buy this Lalvin yeast when it's cheaper on Amazon.

I use a 1-gallon wine bottle and and an air lock, and in about a month I've got the starts to some great mead. Bread yeast doesn't work as well, and some other brands of wine or champagne yeast don't tolerate the alcohol content as well.

I store the extra packets in the freezer and they're fresh and ready when I start a new batch.

I bought this yeast because of the rave reviews I read elsewhere... however it has been spotty for me. One batch did great with this stuff, another would not take off and then ended up with stuck fermentation. My results tell me to not use this if you have an acidic must OR if your fermentation area is cool (65 degrees F or less, even though it's rated for that)otherwise it's fine.
