Briefly, I agree entirely with the previous reviewer. I have tried a few sources of fresh chestnuts and several brands and types of peeled chestnuts (in water, in syrup, dry, etc.) and none comes close to Clement Faugier's, whether one uses them to make turkey stuffing, chestnuts in syrup, marrons glaces, or in other productions. I have been buying these marrons for well over a decade, and this is a very good price for them.
This order was received within a few days of ordering and was very well-packed.

Every Thanksgiving I make chestnut stuffing & use fresh chestnuts but it's alot of work. Thought this year I'd try these & maybe take the easier way....well I opened the can & drained them. They looked horrible & were very mushy & tasted, well..like water! A very faint chestnut flavor but absolutely NO substitute for the real thing so I ran to the store & got the real thing. Despite the work of roasting & peeling fresh chestnuts, it's worth it! While the transaction with the vendor purchased from was perfect I was disappointed in the taste of this product. I'm not sure what I expected, maybe a little firmer of a chestnut? I was going to put these in my Thanksgiving stuffing but didn't as I thought the whole thing would turn into a mushy paste in the middle of my delicious bread so I left them out. I only opened one can now I have another can and I don't know what I'm going to do with it. These were a big disappointment, soggy, without taste and ugly to boot.And before you say it, I have nothing against the French!
10 Jasmine Blooming Flower Tea
My experiance with this company has been nothing but bad. Placed the order on the 3rd, arrived on the 16th. Bought this product with aticipation of taste and quality but the smell of the tea and the taste(even when washed) was utterly disgusting, making lipton tea seem desirable. I highly discourage buying this item or from this company if you enjoy quality loose leaf tea. If you are just getting into it loose tea and want to try some thing different or want to use these are decoration, then these may suit you.

Came nicely packed in a red take out box, with instructions. Very pretty as the tea steeps, and can be re-steeped many times. Plan on buying more for gifts. The blooms in the water were beautiful, but the tea itself hada very gritty, almost "earthy" taste to it which i didnt like. I used them to make interesting centerpieces because when they bloom its gorgeous, but I owuld not suggest actually trying to drink this stuff. Plus some of the "petals" get loose and float to the top which make it have that "gritty" taste.

I bought a single of this kit. After bottling this past weekend, this kit will be one I reorder. Good balance, pleasant taste, and that was drinking a bottle I hadn't even bother corking.Kit even comes with corks and labels, if they could just figure out how to put bottles in, it would be perfect.

I'll be short, I would routinely buy this at Costco when they carried it, it was cheaper, but worth it. I'm French, and I grew up on fois gras and this is pretty close to what i remember! Granted its not on par with homemade fois gras, but it's pretty darn close. I'm a bit shocked of the negative review it got. It's pricey with the shipping, but order a few blocs and get your money's worth. Make sure to serve on a chilled plate (or straight from the terrine!)
With all respect, I implore you to use your own judgement and conscious when buying this product, but please understand what it is.
These animals have been force fed by sticking metal tubes down their throats until their livers become 10 times their normal size. They frequently have gashes all over their beaks and throats. The ducks are so frightened of humans that even the few that have been rescued will never let a human touch them again.
Please don't be allow these companies to hide the facts from you, and the facts are unsettling, to say the least. Use your own judgement, but please don't be blind.

This fois gras was not what i expected. Having had FG in many restaurants i decided to try package now that it is banned in CA.This item tastes and smells like "pate". northing ilke restaurant versions. If u like pate u will love this. i don't. if u want restaurant style keep looking
