Reserve Du Chateau 4 Week Wine Kit, German Nierstiner, 17.5-Pound Box

I bought this wine kit because I wanted to find a nice white wine that I could let age a while before I gave it to any family or friends. When this wine was complete, it tasted a little thin to me. However, 3.5 months of aging brought it a lot way and it tastes wonderful. I highly recommend this kit if you just want to make a batch of wine to age and enjoy down the road. I can only imagine how good it will taste in another 6 months to a year.

This isn't Debra, it's husband Mike. I just finished bottling my Niersteiner. The kit called for a finish of 30 bottles (6 gallons) but I made it a 5 gallon finish instead and the wine tastes very good, like a Riesling a little bit, but Niersteiner comes from a different grape. Made 5 gallons because with the amount of juice the kit has I felt the wine would be thin and I plan on entering this wine in competitions. I also made a tannin addition to the wine which adds to the rich flavor but it also made the wine throw a slight pectin haze visible if you hold a bottle to the light. I would and have reccomended these kits to friends and currently have 3 other Reserve Du Chateau kits going, one of them being another Niersteiner. Forum Cabernet Sauvignon Wine Vinegar - Pack of 2

This is a great condiment; not truly vinegar, but agrodolce, as it is blended with unfermented grape must. That adds a wonderful, balancing sweetness to it that enhances most anything you put it on or in. I've been using this for several years now, and it's to the point that I use it in some way almost every night. Find it cheaper elsewhere, though.

The first bottle showed up broken, and they rectified this situation nicely (of course I didn't need 2 phone calls...just what we ordered). But it's the thought that counts. They went overboard to make sure we were happy.

And the vinegar is a gem. Try it on a steak on the grill!

Wine.com Something Sweet & Savory Gift Basket

The basket that I ordered (Something Sweet & Savory Gift Basket) was not what arrived, none of the listed items were in the basket I received. Very disappointed in this product.

I thought I had found a perfect Christmas gift for an out of town sister who is allergic to chocolate. I ordered and shipped a gift basket called "Something Sweet & Savory." It contained no chocolate. I was on vacation when the basket arrived and did not hear that my sister received a gift basket containing primarily chocolate until I returned home January 1. I contacted Wine.com immediately. They replied that she should return the basket and they would ship another one. My sister had tossed the packing box by that time and had no way to return the basket. I again contacted Wine.com and they gave the same reply. "Return the basket first." She cannot use the contents or return the basket. Stalemate. Wine.com offered NO OTHER REMEDY. I like the idea of food gift basket. Most people are able to find some items that they like in it. And, I am always avoiding the food baskets that contain all-too-sugary stuff. So, this one had some variation, as its description lead one to believe. I like the presentation and it arrived in good condition. Tomorrow I will give it to my parents-in-law and I have no doubt that they will like it.

I went through a phase where I craved caramels, and bought one of what seemed like every salted caramel on Amazon. This one is by far the best. Highly recommended!

These were so good. Really, they were as good as I wanted them to be, and that's the most I can expect from any food product. Not overly sweet or overly salty, just right.

I was excited about getting these french caramels, but when it arrived the box was torn and the caramels were old and sticking to the cellophane wrapper. Didn't taste good at all...immediately tossed them in the trash. Will never buy again.

These caramels had no discernable salt flavor and a plastic taste when first chewed. This was very disappointing, especially for the price.
