Mizithra Cheese, (8oz or 1lb)

I recieved this Cheese in 2 days, it was cold and wrapped in double foil. It is wonderfull for pasta and lots of other great receipes.

Family have difficulty getting Greek products in their city. It arrived twice -apparently it did not ship prior to the w/e when promised and they shipped another one on that Monday. Both arrived in great condition and family have been enjoying Greek spaghetti with browned butter. They are thrilled. Thanks!

Finely shredded mizithra cheese on top of browned butter along with angelhair pasta makes the best meal....yes, it's not low fat or anything, but as a side or a real treat.........it's wonderful!!!

I ordered from this company another mizithra cheese that was not good. This one tastes good but is not a pound...states on the wrapper .89 so just be aware.

I love this cheese. However, it is far to expensive. I found I can have my local store get Mizithra Cheese for me at about a quarter of the cost of ordering it here.

New Brewers Complete Homebrew Beer Making Kit by Monster Brew

In general, I'd recommend that you would go to a local brewing store and work out exactly what you need and want to get started brewing your own beer. You'd likely end up with a setup that is pretty similar to this one. That leaves price and flexibility as the main issues. Glancing at a brewing catalog, it looks like this setup isn't a bad deal pricewise. And of course if you don't have a local brewing store, then buying this one is that much easier. Do compare the items included in any of these kits, there are a lot of them listed on amazon, some for as little as half of the price of this one. And remember that you can save a lot of shipping cost by buying kits without bottles. Use your own collected bottles.

Ordered and received kit in Jan 2011. Started brewing March 3 2011, drank first bottle around April 4. Bavarian Hefweizen, very good taste, about 5-6 percent alcohol or 10-12 proof. Must follow directions and keep everything clean. Quality kit contained everyting to make your first brew, but I've added a few things like hops bags and thermometer and extra bottle caps. I do not recommend buying inexpensive kits. I also recommend buying "Joy of Home Brewing" to go along with the kit. The kit directions are basic, the book has helpful tips. The price I paid was better than what I would pay locally, in this area, by about $40. I prefered new bottles, as I didn't want to mess with finding and cleaning bottles with non twist off caps. Extra 12 oz. bottles run about $12 for 24 bottles. First batch figures out to about $3 per bottle, which includes the cost of the kit. After that it's about 50 cents a bottle. As a side note, I started my second batch May 19. Enjoy! :)

Overall a great kit, but it came shipped with a broken Hydrometer and siphon... been unable to contact the company to get it replaced. I couldn't wait any longer so I made my first batch this weekend and I had everything I needed for the first part. I'm going to have to get creative with the transfer from the one bucket to the other. Would be a 5 star if the parts were packaged better or they would respond to the broken parts.

Ricotta Salata Cheese (8oz or 1lb)

Ricotta cheese is awesome when placed in lasagna. True storya few months ago my dad made a huge tray of lasagna for his girlfriend and myself, and he literally dumped the entire container of ricotta in the tray. I thought it was too much but didn't say anything. I didn't dare question my dad's experience in cooking for years and years (over 30 to be exact) at several different restaurants. Anyway the cheese gave off a VERY strong taste, and in fact, it was the *only* thing we tasted in the lasagna, lol. The sauce, other cheese varieties and everything else practically disappeared. Still, I love the taste of ricotta cheese enough that I really would have trouble complaining about an abundance of it. I find it's quite delicious. Just be warneduse it accordingly and not the entire container (or in this case, bag) in one go, haha.

This wine kit was fun and easy to make with the step by step instructions. The finished wine was such a hit that I could barely keep any for myself. The wine has an amazing peach flavor that everyone loved.

Ran this kit as a five gallon instead of a six. Result was a medium bodied

wine with good peach aromas, low tannins and lingering flavor. Especially enjoyed by those who shy away from the dry wines. A good desert wine for sipping.

Very peachy. I added only about 2/3 of peach flavor bag and made 5 gallons.

I also added 2 cups of sugar to increase alcohol content.

I just bottled this wine two days ago. The result was a very sweet dessert wine with a great peach taste. It's the kind of wine you make for people who say they don't like wine. Like all the other Paklab products (Reserve Du Chateau and Vino Italiano kits) these Cornucopia kits are super easy to make as long as you don't let your yeast get too cold during primary fermentation, the rest is easy.

Brix Bar, Medium Dark Chocolate, 8-Ounce Packages (Pack of 2)

What a great excuse to bolster your anti-oxidant intake! I was given a block of Brix last year with a bottle of Shiraz, wow what a pairing! Believe it or not, the wine somehow tastes better with this chocolate. The product itself isn't too sweet or creamy but at the same time it isn't bitter. We've tried the extra-dark version of Brix and it went well with the deeper red wines, like a big cab. Great price, thanks Amazon!

The BRIX Chocolate bar was a hit at our Super bowl party. I put the bar on a cutting board (at first with a knife then changed to an ice pick which worked perfectly) and near the wines. Every single person there had to try at least one piece of it. It was such a unique party fun food. As soon as the first guest spotted it, no one left it alone until it was gone. My guests agreed that BRIX was so much fun especially with a good glass of wine.

Dal Raccolto Chianti Red Wine Vinegar - 17 oz

I make lots of homemade salad dressings. When the recipe calls for wine vinegar or balsamic vinegar, I use this Chianti Red Wine Vinegar. Most wine vinegar is either too sharp or watery. Most balsamic vinegar is too sweet for my taste. I have been using this particular brand for years. The most reliable source is through Amazon.com. I hope Dal Raccoloto never stops making this stuff!

Pompeian Red Wine Vinegar, 32oz.

I have been trying to find a decent red wine vinegar for a long time. I had been using Nakano Italian Herb wine vinegar but since it contained HFCS, I wanted to find a better vinegar. Cooks Illustrated had rated red wine vinegars in a recent airing and this was one of the top two that came out for best tasting. Was not too acidic and had the taste like it was made from a decent red wine.

I think I will be using this vinegar all the time now.
