This is a great way to start making a wine like product at home with little expense! Easy to use, after 48 hours you get a very nice beverage! I would advise to watch the video on their web site. Tip: pour out a small amount ( a sip or two worth of juice) before you add the yeast packet to avoid a bubble over into your air lock. I made my first batch with 100 % white grape juice. Came out yummy . Be careful , a friend of mine made a batch from " juice" that was not 100% JUICE and you could tell, the product had an off taste. Also pick a juice with the highest sugar content you can find. Yeast like sugar! Happy Yeast equals happy wine. Start with high quality juice , finish with a nice product. I have a red grape going now, and a cranberry . The yeast loved the red grape.. this the one that over bubbled , the cranberry had a different reaction with the yeast. . Still bubbling . but not as vigorous . Love the Labels that included. makes it easy to keep track of what I have bubbling away. Remember the longer you let the yeast work the closer to "wine" you get . :-)
Its a simple formula, yeast+ sugar -> alcohol + co2
what you need:
1) juice with HIGH sugar content. the product recommends 20g per serving minimum (welches is perfect)
2) time

Yeast is a living organism. The colder it is the slower it will make alcohol, so you really want to keep this around room temp and not let it get to hot or it will die off.
I like leaving it set for a week (makes it decently strong, still good taste). Thats the longest I've let it sit, although my current batch is going on two weeks because I didn't feel like drinking last weekend.

This is a great product if you may be looking for some nice fruity wine with no alcohol, or if you want to dump tons of sugar into the original grape juice and make a really strong bitter wine. But, if you want something in between, this product is not for you. I wanted a decent tasting wine that I could make without going to the store and had a decent amount of alcohol in it. Unfortunately, I could never really find the right balance for making the wine. Turns out it's much easier and just about as cost effective to get wine from a store. Go figure! Bought this in hopes that it would actually work. It doesn't make the juice unbearable, but it makes it have a bad after taste. The first time I used it I had to get my appendix taken out a day or two later (probably just a coincidence), but both the first and second time it made me crap violently.
