Bar-Tenders Instant Whiskey Sour Cocktail Mix (8 pouches)

Bar-Tenders Instant Whiskey Sour Cocktail MixI could not find this product on any store shelf. Amazon came through. Makes the best WS's.

I have been on a Whiskey Sour kick for a while. I have been using the liquid mix from Master of Mixes and while searching for it on Amazon I came across this item. The reviews seemed encouraging and made it seem like the liquid mixes were junk and this was the real deal. I got it in and excitedly made my first sour, following the directions exactly and to my surprise it was just bland. I tried another to make sure and the same results. So I guess this one just isn't for me.

Banyuls 5 Year Aged French Red Wine Vinegar 750 Ml

Banyuls 5 Year Aged French Red Wine Vinegar 750 MlHands down the best vinegar I've EVER tasted. Subtle, nuanced, and compatible with everything. I use it with good quality olive oil (3 1/2 to 1) with kosher salt and white pepper.

This is one of the best red wine vinegars available for those who want something besides the overdone balsamic vinegar. I first tried it at a Williams-Sonoma sale when they stopped carrying it. It has a wonderful flavor so I was pleased to find it on amazon and received 5 star service from Taylor's Market the seller who sent my order much faster than the promised date and very well packed so I recommend this great product and the seller.

It was supposed to be 750 ml each bottle and only has 500 ml. It was too expensive and don't recommend it to anybody. I am not happy with this purchase.

I've only put the Banyuls vinegar to use on a few salads thus far, but I'd definitely rate it a solid buy. It's not something I'd drink straight from the bottle, but it's definitely better than the majority of vinegar I've purchased from the grocery store recently.

Martin Pouret Red Wine Vinegar 8.5 oz

Martin Pouret Red Wine Vinegar 8.5 ozI have been looking for a good red wine vinegar to combine with olive oil for a salad dressing. The Martin Pouret Red Wine Vinegar from Amazon is delicious for this purpose. Use one tablespoon vinegar with 3 to five tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and salt and pepper to taste, to make a delicious dressing for a lettuce/tomato/cucumber and chives salad. The taste of the vinegar comes through beautifully.

Grill Mates Garlic Herb Wine Marinade, .87-Ounce (Pack of 12)

Grill Mates Garlic Herb Wine Marinade, .87-OunceThis is our favorite flavor by far and not very easy to get in our area! We use it constantly on chicken and beef and they taste awesome whether used on salads or eaten by themselves. :-)

Bissinger's Chocolate Covered Wine Grapes 8 oz.

Bissinger's Chocolate Covered Wine Grapes 8 oz.I gave these to my friend the wine-and-chocolate-geek for her birthday. She was thrilled. And she wasn't sharing! Clearly, these made for a wonderful and memorable gift.

The product arrived at the door, with the inside content completely melted. I called the company to let them know what happened, and their only response was that they were so swamped with product orders that they just had no choice but to ship out the product without proper ice/temp-controlled packaging. Seriously? This is chocolate covered wine grape they are selling! No refund. No credit towards next purchase. Needless to say, I would never order from them again. Shame, because it's a great product idea.

The chocolate and grapes flavor was good. Small quantity in the packaging was my only draw back. I would however purchase the product again.

It sounded like a great idea but the chocolate was low quality (waxy) and I couldn't taste the wine. I would never buy it again.

There are two views of this product. The uncharitable view is that it is a glorified overpriced chocolate-covered raisin. My view is that it's much more than that.

First, the chocolate is a generous coating of high quality dark chocolate. I think they say it's about 65% cocoa solids, which makes sense. It's not too dark/bitter but it's darker than semi-sweet. So the chocolate is a bit darker and much thicker than the dark chocolate-covered raisins that you'll find in the grocery store.

Next, the raisins are definitely infused with wine. This does two things: makes them more moist and also imparts a lovely red wine flavor (I think they claim to use a Shiraz). There's not enough wine to really tell what type of wine they've used, but the flavor is strong enough that it stays with you. In fact, I ate one before sitting down to compose this review and I can still taste the chocolate and the wine right now.

Of course this means that each raisin is substantially larger than a typical chocolate-covered raisin, perhaps four times the volume.

Apparently, the vendor has had some issues with shipping during the summer, so it's worth ordering when it's cool out. Even in December, several of my raisins had stuck together, but separated easily. They're fine eaten from the fridge, but definitely better when eaten at room temperature. They appear to store well at room temperature.

Last, there are several sizes available: a small bag, 8oz, and 16oz boxes. The latter is a bit expensive, but comes with about 4 or 5 dozen raisins, plenty for a dinner party/group.
