Kristian Regale Sparkling Beverage, Pear, 25.4-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 4)

This will be short one, as most of Kristian Regále stuff is (delightfully!) similar.

After finding a hidden cache of Kristian Regále we've been pounding through them, and I actually went back get another set!

My wife made "My Dream Greek Pasta" (which was quite yummy) when we decided to try this. The color is similar to a light apple juice or some of the more translucent Chardonnays we've tried, with small bubbles just slowly trickling up. I noted both pear and apple on the nose.

My first impression was positive. The pear taste is not as strong as the RW Knudsen's sparkling pear, and the carbonation is on par with the other Kristian Regále drinks I've tried, though it's a bit more mild than the Pomegranate, and much more mild than the Lingonberry. It's light bodied and the citrus acid gives it just a tiny acidic kick. Comparing only the taste, and not the carbonation, it's terribly dissimilar from Martinelli's.

The mild, yet pleasant taste makes this easy to pair with. It'd go with many, many different foods, though especially with cold, light foods, like salads, pitas and hummus, or cheeses.

Did I Like it: Yes, 7 out of 10. It will be a regular (or table drink) in our house now.

I think the product tastes fantastic but in 12 boxes I ordered I would say 90% were broken. They were specifically bought for an appetizer and I can't use any of them. I am not very happy. I really like "Partners" products but am unable to get them locally so this was the next best thing....NOT!!!!

These big crackers are gust fun to munch on in front of the computer.

I mean, REALLY, does anybody bother to watch TV any more?

I'm not a big fan of flatbread but I have been on a diet and decided to give this a try. I have to say, wow. I've been topping them and using it as a snack in place of lunch. The other guy that works in my office, who isn't dieting, tried them and was impressed by the taste but I finally had to tell him to back off. He started ripping through them so I think that pretty much explains how well the product tastes. The flavor can support itself as a standalone snack but again, I top them and just love it.

Blue Cheese Spread in Stoneware Crock

The delivery was very quick. The only thing, was the crock that I saw was a brown copper color and that's what I wanted, but what was delivered was blue. I wasn't given the option for a color. This was a gift and the person who received it was very happy.

This purchase brought many smiles for holiday gatherings; not only is the cheese delicious but the lovely salt glaze crock which is reusable and dishwasher safe. The crock can be filled with any other cheese or veggie spreadable dips. The only dissapontment is that this company encloses a small tag/card within the crock stating the "10 oz refill is available " ( and this currently is NOT true as I contacted the company several times inquiring in regards to refill cheeses and there's no reply so you must keep buying more crocks. Overall they ship fast & fresh and the crock is a keepsake item for hosting etc.

Holiday Party Cheese and Sausage Assortment Gift Box

I asked my brother, who is a chef, how he felt about the quality of the product he received and if he could recommend it to anyone. His comments were that quality was excellent and he would enjoy having it again in the future as a gift. He looked at the idea of buying something similar from Hickory Farm in the Mall where he lives since Mother's Day caught him and me by surprise since it arrived a week early this year and he came to the conclusion that this product was far better product than anything he could find in the Mall. I had thought Hickory Farm would work since he would have physical access to viewing any items from them and his comment was that Wisconsinmade, this company whose product I am reviewing, did a far better job in quality and produce. I think that says it. For those who see only volume and not quality, stay with the grocery store, it will give you lots of volume if that is your criteria. I will note that I bought a couple of these products from this company and I have copied the same review to each so that people will know that this company has excellent quality. Quality cheese and quality sausage is expensive and this company makes it well.

This is an okay gift box, only if you like mediocre cheese and summer sausage. The items are small, smaller than they appear in the picture. I only paid $30, but I would not purchase it again. On the positive side, the mustard samples that come with it make the items edible.

Vinegar - Aged white wine - colavita, 16.9 fl.oz.

I make a salad of cut up small cukes, celery, red peppers, apples, onion, kidney beans and garbonzo beans. I use kosher salt and pepper and the colavita aged white wine vinegar. I cut up everything and pour the vinegar over the salad and put it in the refrigerator overnight. The result is a delicious salad. I don't need to use any olive oil with it. I always have this vinegar in my cupboard. This is a great tasting vinegar.

Ski Queen Gjetost Original Goat Cheese, (8.8 oz)

Nothing like white goat cheese, it's sweet and with a tiny hint of bitter. Being a norwegian-american family we eat it every day if we can get hold of it. I was surprised to see it listed as gourmet, its an everyday food over there. Like the picture on the wrapper, its sliced using a cheese slicer, a knife or wire cutter will cut too thick. bjorklund makes a good one. Most commonly served for breakfast or lunch on buttered rolls or bread. I like it on a sandwich with a layer of good jam under. Its good on toast and buttered waffles where the heat causes the slices to sweat and melt slightly, changing the texture, and making it delicious.

This cheese is nice, friendly to the palette. It has a nutty flavor, like aged Swiss cheese, and a the tang of sharp cheddar. There is a lovely sweetness to it, tastes of caramel. The cheese has great character.

To me, there was no off-putting flavor that I would have to acquire a taste for. Nothing really strong, piquant, musty, sour, briney, smokey, or pungent in it's flavor; it is mild tasting.

It is rich, dense, and creamy. I hate to compare it to velveeta, but it's texture a bit similar but firmer, more dense, thought the comparisons stop there.

I've had this cheese by itself, on crackers, crusty breads, and in sandwiches; today I had some in a sandwich with sliced deli chicken, yellow mustard and clover sprouts. If I made the same sandwich and replaced the Ski Queen Gjetost Cheese, with aged Swiss, and the yellow mustard with honey mustard; the sandwiches would have a similar flavor profile.

This cheese will be a fun addition to my next cheese & fresh fruit platter.

This cheese is nice for when peckish; being savory, nutty, sweet, and filling.

Even if you are not adventurous when trying different cheeses, I would sooner recommend this cheese to try; because it is unintimidating, mild with no strong flavor, rather than recommend bleu cheese, or even smoked Gouda. This is a fun cheese!

Best when used with a cheese sliceryou can use a regular knife, but the thinner the slices the better, really. Put slices on a cracker or toasted bread and you are full quickly. Really great for those who like to graze during the day, but are trying not to gorge on junk. This is the only gjetost I have tried, so I don't have a comparison with others, but I really enjoy the taste.

This was an interesting purchase. I've tried a few different types of bernost, dark nutty Norwegian style of cheese, and a couple brands of gjetost; this was by far the tastiest of the group. If you've got a hankering to expand your cheese eating prowess and get a little worldly with your snack choices, then by all means give this a shot. It's a bit of a departure from most cheeses you're used to seeing, but try it on a whole grain crisp and it really works.
