Santa Fe Sausage Seasoning

Mild-Hot Italian Sausage SeasoningWe followed the directions closely for a 10 lb. mix of 1/2 venison and 1/2 pork. (We did mix the seasoning directly into the meat, then added a bit of water.) We then let it sit overnight in the refrigerator. We fried some patties up the next morning to taste test.

The pepper seasoning came through, not excessively so, but it did linger a bit. I have been known to like things hot (although my tastes have mellowed with age) and I would rate this between mild and medium. I have tasted commercially prepared breakfast sausage that tasted hotter. It definitely makes this a great sausage for using in spaghetti and other italian dishes. By itself, the sausage is very flavorable. We plan to pack 1/2 into casings and bulk store the rest for cooking Italian dishes.

I do agree with one reviewer, it is a bit salty tasting and could be toned down a bit. But, it is within the limits for a spicy sausage and will be fine used in other Italian recipes, IMHO.

I would buy this again, but back off of the amount to mix into the meat (due to the salt) and add other Italian seasonings.

This is a great blend for Italian Sausage. It makes a mild sausage with a little kick. It does 50 lbs of sausage and I make it in 10 lb batches. I measured the level of the blend(5") and with a permanent marker made lines every inch on the container for my 10 lbs of meat. I ground up my shoulders, mixed in the spices, then reground a second time. Some of the best sausage I have ever had. Tastes like NY style sausage with the fennel in it. I would recommend to anyone who is looking to save money on sausage. I estimated I have about 1.75 a pound into it where store bought is over 3.50 a pound. It is also very healthy. I will be purchasing other blends in the future to also try.

Was excited to try the mix and found it to be just expensive salt...sure, seasoning for Italian sausage does not contain too many ingredients but product flavor was lacking and was really almost all salt.

I made 40 lb of sausage with 20 lb being venison/pork and 20 lb being venison/beef. Flavor was great and an easy product to use. Highly recommend.

so i tried the garlic one and i made a mistake.... and didn't wear a gas mask when i used it ... i LOVE garlic but wow this is over powering in powder form when i first got it i opened it up to give it a smell and almost fell over it was like i got mased eyes tearing up nose burning regardless i bought it im trying it and i mix up some sausage and if you add water like it says it gets toned down so you can work with it after stuffing it and letting it sit for 24hrs for the casing to firm up i grilled them and im not impressed its not bad like someone just dumped a bunch of garlic powder in my sausage and no other spices i feel like it needs more flavor then JUST garlic powder i mean even salt and pepper would be nice

'Dark Chocolate' Skull

'Dark Chocolate' SkullSo, I'm a head guy. I love heads. It's tough, though, being a head guy. When I ride the subway, I'm constantly trying to control the urge to reach out and massage the head of the person next to me. I've done it once or twice. It doesn't go over well, even when a friendly smile or wink is employed. I've lost several partners after waking them up by stuffing their noggins in my armpit, say. In high school I was kicked of the wrestling team not because of my somewhat unusual technique, but for the sounds I made when executing it. I've got loads of synthetic skulls around the apartment, some real ones, lots of manikin heads (surprisingly easy to pilfer from beauty shop display windows). The thing is, I never had an urge to actually eat a head... until I ate one. Look, this chocolate skull is delicious. It is really good. But there are problems. When you hold it in your hands (while performing ceremonies, fondling it or preparing to annihilate it) it feels like a real, friggin' skull... at first. But then, unlike real human skulls, it starts to melt. You have to put your hands in a bag of ice for like 5 minutes if you want to do anything fun with the thing before you eat it. But still, you get to eat a skull, which despite the fact that the consistency is all wrong, and there's no edible brain inside, is still pretty rad. But there's the other problem: I never wanted to eat a head until I did. Now riding the subway is that much more of a trial. Three stars. Oh, and it's 550 bucks, so I'm broke now. Really broke. I've eaten, like, six of these. So two stars.

Oregon Fruit Products (Wine Base Puree), Sweet Cherry, 49-Ounce Cans (Pack of 2)

Oregon Fruit Products, Sweet Cherry, 49-Ounce CansI bought this to make a cherry ale for my daughter's wedding reception and it worked well. I added it to my secondary fermenter. I just wish the price had not doubled since I last bought it or I would order again.

Bassetts Jelly Babies 215gr (7.6oz) Bag

Bassetts Jelly Babies 215gr BagWe tried these because of my daughters interest in all things Doctor Who , and as most fans of the show know, the Fourth Doctor always had them. Living in the states, you can't buy them here, so when I found them on Amazon, I jumped at getting them. We weren't disappointed, they are different from any jelly type candy we've eaten. They are a little grainy in texture but softer than any gum candy, and the flavors are natural. This is the only brand (Bassett's) we have tried, and they are supposed to be the best. The shipping is a bit pricey because they're imported, so if you order, order several bags while your at it.

I've munched on these most of my life and haven't regretted a single calorie.

If they are good enough for a Time Lord, they are certainly good enough for me.

Everyone mentions these sweets along with the fourth Doctor Who,

it's a shame no one remembers the fact they are first offered by the second.

A word of caution, don't have too many at one time. (They're very filling.)

(If you like these why not try Bassett's "Liquorice Allsort's" the Doctors sweet of choice in "The Sunmakers".)

Similar to a gummy candy and as different as mike & ikes. Jelly babys have a delicious sugary crust and a softer inside. Whether vegging out watching tv or attempting to break the ice with your alien captors, Jelly Babies fit the bill. Crinkly bit of wax paper/wax paper bag not included.

Like others, I heard about this candy from Doctor Who (4th Doctor). The moment I had one bag, I began to order even more. To anyone who wants to buy these Jelly Babies, order 2 or 3 bags. You won't be disappointed by the taste. This is what I call a candy. I'm SO ordering more in the future. If I ever got fat from eating these, I would have no regrets.

Sherry Wine Vinegar, Aged - Don Bruno (25.4oz)

Sherry Wine Vinegar, Aged - Don BrunoThis vinegar is wonderful. It's a huge bottle and the taste is beyond compare. When Sherry vinegar is called for in a recipe, there is no alternative for its sweet, pungy flavor. However, I use this vinegar for salad dressings and in place of red wine vinegar. I purchased it only a few weeks ago and it is half gone. I will be ordering again.

This product is available at a local gourmet food store, but I got about a third more for the same price, even after I factored in the shipping. Plus, I didn't have to go get it; delivered to my door. No doubt, we will shop here again! Quick shipping/delivery.

This sherry is great. I have tried every domestic sherry I could find and none are close to this one. It is worth the money when your food turns out this good. It was packaged very well and I received it 2 days early. One of the best finds ever.
