Great kit-clear directions and a lovely ruby colored wine. You can smell the strawberry. Nice finish on the tongue. This wine is meant for those who love a sweet wine.

This is my 9th kit of Cornucopia Fruit Wine.I make it to 6 gal. and add 5 lbs of simple syrup, (just heat water and add sugar)at the beginning fermentation. This will make the wines abv about 12% instead of the 6% that it makes without the sugar.Each pound of sugar raises the abv about 1%. Make sure to use quality water like bottled spring water,not tap or well water.The directions are easy to follow. I have started adding only half to three fourths of the sweetner flavor pack and its better to my taste.If you like a really sweetwine add it all.It also gets a little better after being in the bottle for a month or two.The Vino Italiano wines at amazon are very good too for a regular non fruit wine.Great value with corks and labels and hats.I also don't put labels on all the bottles unless i'm giving them away,too much work to clean them off next time,just use a little adhesive tag to label them.I highly recommend these wines,and its fun to experiment with different techniques that you read other people tried. Enjoy, but remember,its addictive.

I have this kit in primary fermentation right now. The directions are wonderfully clear, and the kit includes all ingredients that you need to produce 6 gallons of this wine. These kits are a great value, especially if you order them through the subscribe and save program. If you enjoy the wine, let it send you another in a few months. If you don't like it, cancel the subscription. The minor effort involved is more than worth it for the 15% discount.

The kit contains two different packages of juice. The larger is added during primary fermentation. The second is added after fermentation has finished to enhance the flavor of the wine. You also get labels, corks, additives, etc. Just need some basic equipment and 30 empty bottles.

I will try and update this review as the wine progresses. Fermentation seems to have started nicely at this point.

I have made this kit twice now and it keeps getting better!!! It's a favorite of my family and friends! Sweet but not overly sweet.....deliciously yummy!! Added 2 lbs. sugar to up alcohol content and very happy!!! Will continue to purchase this one!!

Vino Italiano 4 Week Wine Kit, Piesporter, 15.4-Pound Box

This wine kit is a great everday drinker, especially when served to non-wine drinkers. As with all Vino Italiano wine kits, DO NOT make them to 6 gallon / 23 litre carboys. Only make this brand to 5 gallons and you will have a inexpensive but very drinkable table wine. Have made two Piesporters so far and plan to make more.

I have a 6 gallon primary and a 5 gal carboy, so I am limited when it comes to using kits. Most kits call for 8 gal primary and 6 gal carboy......so.....this wine kit is perfect for me. According to reviews make it up to 5 gal rather than 6....ok, I'm set! Yes, it worked out great without having to buy new equipment!! White wine is a little harder to degas, so after stirring...stirring..you get the picture...I quit with still bubbles in it. I think that made the finished product a little harsher, but after 3 months it greatly improved. I have some set aside for Christmas Gifts so should be perfect by then. I really recommend these kits, especially if your equipment is smaller, like mine. This was my first kit, then I did V. Italiano Merlot.....really got that degassing thing down..and it turned out Great!! Too dry for me, but I added 2 Tbls wine conditioner per bottle....perfect...sweeter in the front of the mouth....dryer in the back!! ha ha I just ordered the V. Italiano Reisling..not here yet but anxious to get going on it. Fun, Fun, Fun........Try it!!!!!!
