Wine Yeast (10 Packs) Montrachet Red Star for Wine Making

Wine Yeast Montrachet Red Star for Wine MakingGood dry finishing wine yeast. I use it in making Apfelwein. Others have experimented with different yeasts, but I've been happy enough with the results to not feel the need to do so.

I started making wine just a few months ago. Being the bone-headed "show me" type of person, I thought i'd give a few types of Yeast a test run. Red Star Montrachet wine yeast has been great for my first purple grape wine. The result was a very enjoyable first attempt at wine making.

Got exactly the quality I was looking for with this yeast. I would definitely purchase it again and recommend it to others.

The yeast came packaged well. It is dated freshly and has worked great in ferments so far. I have no complaints and would order again.

Worked well in my daughter first efforts at homebrew for this Christmas Day. She was so thrilled at the results.

ARIEL Non-Alcoholic California Merlot Wine

ARIEL Non-Alcoholic California Merlot WineWonderful taste, great for cooking and best of all non alcoholic. Tastes like the real deal ad is better to my taste than other non alcoholic wines. Best by far.

This is terrible, too sweet, does not even taste like wine! I ordered 2 other bottles and did not like them either.

If I hold my nose when I take a drink and then move the glass far enough away so that I can't smell its distinctly skunky odor, then it really doesn't taste bad... Seriously! Just doesn't taste good enough to be worth all that (embarrassing) effort! Pity I bought three bottles. HOWEVER, I am gifted (cursed) with a super-sensitive nose, so if you're really wanting a non-alcoholic wine and your olfactory senses aren't too sensitive, it might be worth a try. Just don't order more than one bottle until you try it!

Just weak watery tasting. No body, no anything. I had one glass of this non descript purple water and that was enough for me.

Nantucket Off-Shore Nantucket Rub, 1.5-Ounce Tins (Pack of 6)

Nantucket Off-Shore Nantucket Rub, 1.5-Ounce TinsI use this product on almost every fish that is sauteed or roasted. The mix of spices is unique and imparts a lovely flavor to fish.

The quantity of product in the tin is risibly small for the price. The rub mixture is loosely packed, and there is about enough in each tin for two, or at most three, sides of salmon. True, the description of the product gave the weight of the contents, so there was no actual misrepresentation, but there was no picture of an open can to give a clear idea of how little product one would actually get for the purchase. I'd never order this product again.

I got a tin of this for Christmas years ago. I haven't tried this rub for it's intended purpose, but I add a couple tablespoons to each 5lb batch of sauerkraut I make and it makes the magic happen. I get rave reviews when I take it to cookouts.

All-Plastic Tasting Corks

All-Plastic Tasting CorksHmmmm. The picture shows all-plastic tasting corks and the Product Description is for a 13+ gallon barrel? Well, I'm only going to talk about the stoppers.

If you regularly open bottles of wine and need to re-stopper them, these are great. They go in easily and the multi-ring nature of them keeps air from moving in or out. They are also great for putting into bottles of home-made vinegars, salad dressings, etc.

BUT... these are not for winemakers who want to put bottles upside down or on their sides. Ditto beer makers. Any pressure buildup will force these back out and you have a mess.

If you have a collection of whiskies with old-fashioned cork stoppers, those will eventually dry out and break off. In these cases, stoppers like these are also great. Hopefully you get the old cork out before it breaks up (or can filter the bits out) and then use one of these to protect that whisky.

Finally, if you make flavored liquors or dressings for gifts, these are so much easier than trying to insert an old cork or using plastic wrap and a rubber band.
