Gruyere - Pound Cut (1 pound) by igourmet

Gruyere - Pound Cut by igourmetIf you like cheese and I'm not talking about the kind you mindlessly slap on a hamburger or sprinkle over a side dish at the salad bar you'll love Gruyere.

My wife, who is Swiss, introduced me to Gruyere cheese via fondue (where it's traditionally encountered) when we were living in Europe. But when we had some left over one weekend, I tried a slice of it with a green apple ... and the rest is history. I simply fell in love with it.

Gruyere is a gourmet cheese and it's price reflects that fact. So be careful, it's expensive ... and not for the obsessive calorie counter. But if your pallet is discriminating and you enjoy fine, quality foods, then indulge yourself. You won't regret anything except the fact that you didn't buy more!

PS: Have a good white wine ready if you plan to make fondue, or a good red wine ready if you have a slice with some fruit! Bon Apetite!

Heat Shrink Bands for Hot Sauce Bottles 25ct

Heat Shrink Bands for Hot Sauce Bottles 25ctThese bands really finished off my home made hot sauce. Bremner Wafer Cracker

Bremner Wafers, Cracked Wheat, 4-Ounce BoxesThis wafer/cracker is great for snacks with a bit of cheese or shrimp on it. Just enough seasonings as not to be overpowering and just enough blandness as to not make the cracker boring. Right texture and not crumbly. Love it!

Sapori Antichi Multicolor Lasagna

Sapori Antichi Multicolor LasagnaI bought this product while visiting Naples and brought it home in my suitcase. I wish I had left my clothes and just filled the suitcase with these noodles. They make perfect layers, thin and delicate with delicious flavor. I made lobster lasagna with them last week and it was fantastic mostly because of these noodles.

Wine Lover's Chocolate 3-Tin Gift Set, Pair with Merlot, Syrah, Zinfandel, 10.5-Ounce Gift Set

Wine Lover's Chocolate 3-Tin Gift Set, Pair with Merlot, Syrah, Zinfandel, 10.5-Ounce Gift SetThe outside of the chocolates had turned whiteindicating they had not been properly packaged or that they sat somewhere in the heat. I had previously purchased the chocolates through a local retailer and they were fine.

The chocolate in the one tin out of six that I have opened from this vendor is dry, tasteless, brittle, and dusty-looking, like old chocolate gets, although marked with a December, 2013 expiration date. This brand of chocolate usually is so superb that I send it as gifts from time to time, and I had never had a bad experience with it. In fact, I highly recommend this brand of chocolate. I recently bought identical looking tins of this same brand of product and found them marked as expiring in 2014, not 2013--and that was at a T. J. Maxx, and not even a regular chocolate outlet. The chocolate drops in the tins I bought at T. J. Maxx were so fresh and delicious that I looked for a place to order more of the brand online because T. J. Maxx does not often have it and I rarely see it in other stores. This batch from your vendor is NOT fresh and not worth eating in my estimation, and I am very sorry that I ordered it. I am now informed that I cannot return it. So now I am out $35 for what I can only consider to be throwaway merchandise if the other five tins hold the same dry, tasteless, brittle, dusty-looking product. What a deal. I noticed, too, that one of the plastic boxes containing three of the six tins of chocolate that I had ordered was not sealed and had the appearance of having had a label scratched off it, but all of the tins had their tight plastic sleeves on them with December, 2013 expiration dates. If the vendor refuses to accept the order back I shall have to send it to the manufacturer, along with the vendor's name, and see what the manufacturer thinks about it. I wouldn't want the manufacturer to stop making these chocolates or to get a bad rap on their otherwise excellent product.

Although I cannot vouch for the taste of the chocolate, the presentation was just what I was looking for. Each box has 3 seperately packaged tins of chocolate. When the first box arrived, I immediately went back to Amazon and bought a 2nd box. I used each tin as part of a prize for a wine themed bridal shower.
