Wolfgang Puck Organic French Onion Soup, 14.5-Ounce Cans (Pack of 12)

Wolfgang Puck Organic French Onion Soup, 14.5-Ounce CansThis soup is terrific on its own, but it is an essential ingredient in various dishes I make, including pot roast.

I use this as the base for a fabulous oven baked delight. I never just use the soup alone...I toast up an english muffin or some nice crusty bread and put it on top of an oven safe cup of the soup, shred some cheese over the whole thing, bake for 10 min...and YUMMM!

If you want an easy french onion soup, this is it. It's also organic and makes you feel a bit better about what went into it in the first place.

I guess they added sugar cane juice to emulate the caramelization flavor that comes from slow cooking onions to perfection. Wrong idea though, this soup instead leaves a sweet flavor in your mouth, as opposed to a more serious, earthy, cognac-reduction flavor that I would expect from an authentic french onion soup. This just a sweet onion soup. Leave the french out.

Very difficult to find a tasty organic onion soup. It is equal to any I have had in a fine restaurant.

Gave it a 4 rather than a 5 as almost every can in the pack of 12 is DENTED. So far no dents so severe that i think it would be dangerous to eat.... but wonder if these are 'seconds.'

I only wish this soup was available in low sodium. I use it for cooking meats, stews, etc. I prefer this brand to most I've used before.

Walters Homemade Honey Macadamia Nougat, 2-Ounce Packages (Pack of 6)

Walters Homemade Honey Macadamia Nougat, 2-Ounce PackagesWhen you see that is filled with the finest quality ingredients you do not expect the second filling ingredient to be glucose syrup derived from corn . The Death match is High Fructose Corn syrup has taken its lumps in public, and companies are taking notice: Hunt's Ketchup and Pepsi, for example, have dropped the additive and are marketing the change, promoting "real sugar" or "no high-fructose corn syrup" on their packaging. I have paid $25 per pound including shipping . Taste is great , but Corn syrup is not on my list of finest quality ingredients . I know is not listed when you buy it , but you will see it on the label . I do not need it even for free .

This nougat is absolutely fabulous! Macadamia is to die for! I have only found one place that carries it locally so glad to see it here. Great story behind it as well; happy to pay the price it's worth it!

Bought this as office holiday presents, and it was very well received. This nougat is very fresh, soft, tasty. It is sweet, but not too sweet. Has a wonderful texture. I sent some to my mother in law and she really enjoyed it. I'll definitely buy this again and recommend it to my friends.

Product seemed bit stale.

Made me think of pressed divinity candy.

Thought the nuts would be chopped & spread through the candy better.

Aspen Mulling Cider Spices, Cinnamon Orange, 5.65-Ounce Cartons (Pack of 9)

Aspen Mulling Cider Spices, Cinnamon Orange, 5.65-Ounce CartonsSeveral years back, someone gave me a box of Aspen mulling spices and they were truly lovely. I thought when I ordered these I was ordering the same thing, but there must be several formulas, and I picked the wrong one. I bought a number of packages intending to give them as gifts at Christmas time, but they still sit waiting to be wrapped because I'm not sure they're appealing enough for gifts. There's a strong orange presence in these spices, and I do think they would make a lovely addition to certain breads or muffins, though I haven't tried it yet. And they are pretty good sprinkled on grapefruit. Of course I'm looking for lots of uses for these because the gift wannabes are going to have to get consumed somehow.

I think this is the best flavor for cider. The first time I tried it was at a Christmas celebration at our Town Square and had to get some for myself. I add a carton to a gallon of apple juice, pour a cup, and heat it up in the microwave. Sometimes I will add whipped cream and sprinkle cinnamon on top. Yum Yum Yum! Nice to warm up on a cold day.

This is a delicious spice for a variety of juices such as apple cranberry, apple cider, pineapple orange, etc. My family loves it hot or cold. I brought this mixed into hot apple cranberry juice to two gatherings and it was a hit! Everyone wanted to know what it was. I highly recommend this delicious product!

Very good in my hot apple cider. Better than plain cinnamon spice. Try adding this to cranberry orange relish. It's great!

O.T.C. Wine Crackers, 10-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 12)

O.T.C. Wine Crackers, 10-Ounce Boxesi fell in love with these crackers at a winery in door county, wi. i bought a whole case. i nearly eat a whole box every time i open a new one. the perfect complement to a glass of red wine. plus they're a great snack for kids--tastes a lot like animal crackers. my oldest daughter loves them.

What's not to like? The price isn't even bad. I eat them by themselves. They have a bland, yet distinctly sweet taste, and a good crunch. Also, the shape is cool. Excellent for a party.

We loved the flavor and light texture of these crackers. We crunch them up on salads & use them as snacks. We have given them to friends and used them as hostess gifts with cheese or a bottle of wine. That's why we buy them by the case.

We first tasted these crackers at the Biltmore Estate Winery in Asheville, NC and loved their taste. I forgot to purchase them before leaving Asheville and was thrilled to see that Amazon had them for purchase at a reasonable price. Just be aware that in shipping the boxes may be smushed a bit (doesn't hurt crackers), but for gift giving it does make a difference in the appearance of the box. And I ordered them in July and they expire in November, so be aware you have to eat them quickly! Have fun munching!

I love having these crackers with my wine. They don't taste bland, but they don't alter the flavor of the wine either.

Ariel Cabernet Sauvignon Non-alcohol 750ML

Ariel Cabernet Sauvignon Non-alcohol 750MLFirst, I am alcoholic and former wine-snob. I lived in Europe for many years and loved me some wines! I preferred drier reds like Medoc and a good and tart Chianti the best.

I don't mind being sober but I can tell you I often miss drinking something other than coffee, tea, soft-drinks, mineral and tonic water. I will occasionally have a good N/A beer like Thomasbrau --especially with something like fruit, cheese and crackers. Complex foods. But no alcohol products.

Last night I celebrated Christmas with a marvelous Prime Rib. I purchased the Arial for the au jus as well an an accompaniment to dinner. It was really, really a nice change.

The Cabernet Sauvignon has a nice bouquet and there are some decent notes on the tongue. The wine certainly doesn't have "legs" and might be a tad thin due to the removal of alcohol. It is superior to some really low-crappy "real" wines I've had. It is what it is though N/A.

I can see buying a bottle of it maybe monthly to pair with a good meal (that's a big change from drinking a bottle a night and then some LOL). If you're teetering on the wagon be careful.

I found the 1-star and 2-star ratings UNHELPFUL. Hope this helps.

First to let you know where I am coming from:

I am not a big drinker and currently not drinking at all as I am trying to get pregnant. It's not unusual for me to make nonalcoholic drinks just to be "festive" (i.e. mix soda water, OJ with lime) when my husband drinks. However, thought it may be nice to have a glass of nonalcoholic wine once in awhile. So coming from this point of view my expectations aren't too high for a decent nonalcoholic drink.

After reviewing Ariel's website there was a pretty big sell on their Award winning wines, how they have actually beat alcoholic wines, how it is not grape juice but made for those who like fermented taste of grapes...with that information, I figured I may as well try it.

What a mistake. While the Cabernet has a deep purple color, the taste is significantly watered down grape juice that leaves a bad taste in your mouth (in more ways then one). I tried to like it & even tried to chill the bottle. Whether you drink warm or chilled, this bottle is just not pleasant. You could create the same taste with 1/4 grape juice and 3/4 water. I wish there was a satisfaction guarantee do I could get my $7+ back!

The wine has a horrible chemical rubbery after-taste. Presumably a result of the process which extracts the alcohol.

I'm pregnant and cannot drink alcohol. I like wine that isn't chilled and if you get this I recommend you chill it fully before trying it. If not it tastes like watered down, very bland wine. When chilled, it tastes like grape juice with not enough sugar in it. I will buy sparkling cider instead for my Xmas party.

Because of health reasons I can no longer drink wine with alcohol. I bought a bottle of the Ariel Cabernet Sauvignon and it was like grape juice that had gone bad.

Don't waste your money on this.

Good Seasons Salad Dressing & Recipe Mix, Italian, 0.7 oz., 4-Count Packets (Pack of 4)

Good Seasons Salad Dressing & Recipe Mix, Italian, 0.7 oz., 4-Count PacketsI don't like bottled dressing at all, so with these packets I use balsalmic vinegar and it turns out as good as you'd get served in a restaurant.

I use garlic wine vinegar and half vegetable oil and olive oil, which makes it delicious! You can also put this into hamburger patties when you make your own, adding great flavor to that as well.

This is one of the great classics. My dinner guests often ask me what my salad dressing is (when I serve Italian dressing) & are surprised @ my reply, especially those who've never tried it. I like to make it with balsamic vinegar for an even better taste. It's also great when added to meatloaf and/or burger recipes or tossed on lightly oil-coated veggies for the grill. NOTE: you must decide how much you like to use for these suggestions. Sometimes we even halve an avacado and fill the cavity with this dressing (so as to eat with a spoon like one would a melon) and use that as our "salad". So worth it. Give it a try!

Truffle Mousse Pate, 3.5 lb

Truffle Mousse Pate, 3.5 lbThis is fantastic stuff. It's my favorite of all the flavors Fabrique Délices makes. But honestly, I walk three blocks and buy it for just under $6 at Gourmet & More on Gough Street in San Francisco. I can't understand the price or paying the shipping. I'd buy a terrine or use a loaf pan and make it myself rather than pay these kinds of prices. There's a whole classic text on making terrines and pates at Terrines, Pates & Galantines (The Good Cook Techniques & Recipes Series) and you can watch Julia Child do it on The French Chef. It's as easy as making meatloaf.

Beyond that I'd go to the Fabrique Délices web site and see if you can buy it locally in your area.

Enjoy.

Sparrow Lane Champagne Vinegar - 750 ml

Sparrow Lane Champagne Vinegar - 750 mlThis vinegar is truly the champagne of all vinegars for good salad dressing. Mix it with seasoning and flaxseed oil and it makes an ordinary salad EXTRAORDINARY!!!! It's good for you and is also good as a marinade.
