This cheese is an affordable option for entertaining since it is modestly priced in comparison to other imported European cheeses. It also slices up nicely and will look (and taste) good on party cheese platters. The cheese is mild in taste and quite inoffensive. When we were growing up in Asia, we had a cheese similar to this but with a more pronounced flavor. We would grate this cheese over pasta dishes. It was good to rediscover this cheese from Holland and relive childhood memories. The company (not Amazon) who handled the transaction sent the cheese out immediately and it arrived in excellent condition. I would order from the company again.
Grana Padano has been my favorite cheese since I returned from a year in Italy, many moons ago. It does not need to be left at room temp, as Brie does. It's perfect straight from the fridge, but be sure to have a lucious ripe pear at the ready to serve with it.
