I am new to wine making this year and purchased this from my local wine/brew shop. Of the three Island Mist kits I have made this is by far my favorite. I'm not really sure how it ages as all 30 bottles were gone in two months (Lots of gifts). Many of my friends/family who don't normally drink wine really like it as it isn't too sweet nor too dry and you can actually taste the apple. Will defiantly be making this one again.
I absolutely love this raspberry vinegar. In fact, I came to Amazon searching for it after we moved. I'm dangerously low and can't seem to find this anywhere. My favorite two uses are, first for salads. I will cook down some frozen berries (raspberries my fave) and puree straining all the seeds. Then, add a bit of sugar, this vinegar and olive oil. Wisk for a nice dressing. Secondly, I use it over pork. SO many possiblites! I've just spritzed it, or added it to a reduction of berries, stock and soy sauce for an Asian flare.
Compared to what I have purchased from the brewing stores this was way above. Plus it included the corks and labels which in the past I had to purchase separately. I am very impressed with this product.

I ordered this gift basket for my brother and sister-in-law for Christmas and had it shipped directly to them. I got a great price because it was a "lightning" deal and shipping/tax was free. I purchased two of the gift towers as gifts for others. I rarely send prepackaged foods as gifts but the high score reviews of this product encouraged me to try it. I sent the tower to friends for Christmas and they were extremely happy with it. They loved the selection and quality.
I know this is a four-week wine kit but you have to really let this wine mature in the carboy. Make sure it develops the flavors that you're looking for Sicilian Shiraz, this wine has very bold flavors, good body, and a deep finish. I only use natural spring water for our kits and it makes a difference. And never use tap water and or use filtered water from the home. I have found that you get a true wine if the watershed through and clear and clean free of contaminants I've only had this wine sitting on the shelf for five months. Can't wait to taste it and sixth month from now. It's very drinkable young we've tried it three bottles and it's getting better as it ages in the bottle. A chef friend of mine makes the Sicilian Shiraz and a full juice kit. This kit stands up to it at almost a half the price.

So far we have fermented the must and racked it once. The wine is pretty clear this early in the game. It smells wonderful, but it will need to set for another three to four weeks in a carboy to bulk age. We ramped this kit up with some extra sugar. While it might not win any awards, it was good to the point that we drank half of it while still in the carboy. Thank god for spigots.

What can I say beyond the fact that the entire shipment of 6 boxes were confiscated by the overgrown children who reside in my tree. I'll hide and hoard the next delivery.I love the flavor of these crackers, even though they are low fat you wouldn't think that by the taste!Unfortunately so few of the crackers came intact for a true flavor test. I can say they made an excellent breading for fish?! I did get a replacement shipment of crackers and they were also crushed when they arrived.
I put this stuff on all my meats that I grill along with fresh grinded pepper. I figure that the French know what they're doing when it comes to preparing food. This condiment along with my high temperature sear burner grill turns even the most mediocre steak into a prime aged piece of heaven.
