Cornucopia Fruit Wine Making Kit, White Pear Chardonnay, 17.5-Pound Box

This wine actually turned out really well. I made some modifications to the kit however. If you figure out the potential alcohol content, this kit would probably get around 7%, but by adding additional sugar at the primary fermentation, I ended up with 13%. I also didn't use the whole f-pack. It would have been WAY to sweet. Instead, I topped the carboy off with an unoaked Chardonnay that I like.

I would call this a summer wine-light with strong pear notes. Almost clear in color. Nice finish and a good wine for those who don't really like wine.

This is my second Cornucopia kit. Turned out very good. Upped the sg to about 1090 and only made 5 gallons. I also used some of the flavor pack at the start of fermentation. I can't wait to try it on my friends and family.

I've bought several of these wine kits and have had very good results. I boost the alcohol content by adding 4 lbs of sugar to the initial fermentation process. I do make a full 6 gallons, which has worked well. The initial fermentation takes longer, but it is worth it.

This is probably my favorite of all of the wine kits I have made so far. It is a little sweet, but tastes great. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Krave Pineapple Orange Beef Jerky (4/3.25 oz)

I've had other Krave jerky before. I thought by the name of the flavor it would be good and I bought a 4pk. I ended up trying to give a pack to my roommate who didn't want it. It's not all that bad but it's not very good either.

Like most Krave jerky, some pieces are more moist than others and it IS soft enough to chew easily.

I kept thinking to myself, what would this jerky go well with? and I couldn't think of a single thing.

I've tried 6 different varieties of Krave jerky so far, and this is my favorite! It's unbelievably tender, and the citrus flavor is just incredible. I agree with the review that the pineapple is more prevalent than the orange, but I think it's just perfect.

I enjoy many flavors of the Krave jerky but this was not one of them. I did not taste any orange in the flavor profile, just pineapple, and the taste just didn't work for me. I prefer the Chili Lime, Garlic Chili Pepper and Sweet Chipotle. But my husband likes it, so at least it's not going to waste.

the Krave pineapple orange jerky is moist and has a sweet taste which works for me. It is tender(at least the ones I've had)and I will continue to purchase it until this changes.

Cheerwine Soda - 12 oz (24 pack)

My son was happy to get it for a birthday gift. He couldn't wait to give some to others who never tasted it.

I looked online for a cheerwine product that I could send overseas to my nephew. He is a BIG fan of Cheerwine and is stationed in Japan. This seller had the best price, when you added shipping costs. Granted it took several months to get there..but I saw pictures of it on Facebook and every bottle made it to Japan. I highly recommend this seller.

Cheerwine is a regional soda from North Carolina, that has expanded into 12 other southeast states in the last 8 years. Started in 1917, Cheerwine was first formulated in the basement of L. D. Peeler's wholesale grocery store. Created during prohibition when it was common to name sodas after liquors. The owner added a new cherry flavor syrup to his previous soda and cheerwine was born. Believe it or his great grandsons still run the company.

The bergundy red soft drink has a nice mellow cherry flavor, and the color is really a pretty burgundy color, almost like wine. It is more subtle and seems less sweet on the palate than the grocery store house brands of cherry soda. No aftertaste or bite. It is easy to see why the locals in North Carolina rave about this and the other drink from this company, "Cool Moon". Also made in diet soda.

Great soda!!! I would order more, but the S/H cost (Tacoma, WA) the same as the soda. If I have the opportunity again, I'll order more. Great soda for a hot day.

Kikkoman - Aji-Mirin (Sweet Cooking Rice Wine) 10 Oz.

I'm not sure why, but it seems like a lot of the recipes my friends have for teriyaki sauce are almost exactly like mine. Except for this one ingredient. Then they want to know why mine tastes a lot better. It's the mirin, plus using a bit less sugar because my husband prefers not-as-sweet teriyaki sauces.

For quick meals at home, I just mix the ingredients in a measuring cup, and stir them directly in my wok without making a glossy sauce out of it. For grilling, I cook the sauce and thicken it with corn starch mixed into a couple tablespoons of mirin. We also use mirin for our rice balls to add a little flavor to the rice. This is a nice inexpensive choice for mirin and adds a good flavor. Like vinegar, soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce, it's a staple in my kitchen for homecooked meals.

This is the same brand we buy at the grocery store but Amazon brings it to me at a much better price.

False advertising. This is not Mirin ... or wine ... it's a seasoning. Surprisingly disappointed that this has not been corrected by now.

I used this to make teriyaki chicken. Kikkoman has always been a great brand. You can always notice then difference when you use Aji-mirin.

It's hard to give a product as generic as this five stars, but the quality has been consistent over multiple orders, it is always as described, the price is good, and it is delivered quickly!

Savannah Bee Company Tupelo Honey

Tupelo honey is so romantic. Remember Elvis was born in Tupelo, Mississippi? I never liked Elvis, but the honey is absolutely "love me tender, love me sweet". Not too strong, not too dark, not like anything you've ever had. I love honey, everything BUT the "honey-flavored" packets some fast-food-joints pass out, trying to fool you. HUMPF! Tupelo honey is the stuff shooting stars are made of, watch your honey's gleamerz light up when he bites into hiz morning toast!

I will buy this again, though it only for special occasions, because it is sooooo expensive. (But starlit eyes are irresitible, and worth it!)

This is the best honey in the world. The taste is above anything you could buy at the grocery store. The buttery golden taste is wonderful with pears, cheese and crackers. It is a fast "throw together" platter when you have un-expected company that is sure to wow your guests.

The flavor of honey varies with the flowers harvested by the bees who make it. Tupelo produces a light, golden honey redolent of butterscotch. I am a nut for honey of all flavors and buy it in my travels. The tupelo honey from Savannah Bee Company is sweet and light and absolutely fantastic. The bottle is beautiful and would make a great gift. I didn't have any problems with the cork lid. I did wait until all the honey settled back into the bottom of the bottle before putting the lid back on. As with any honey keep the top/lid area clean and you won't have any problems reopening.

This honey tastes like ambrosia.It is rich and buttery. A great product and the company never fails to deliver what they advertise. We use it on pancakes and waffles. We highly recommend it and the other honeys we have bought from the Savannah Bee Company.

Holiday Party Cheese and Sausage Assortment Gift Box

I asked my brother, who is a chef, how he felt about the quality of the product he received and if he could recommend it to anyone. His comments were that quality was excellent and he would enjoy having it again in the future as a gift. He looked at the idea of buying something similar from Hickory Farm in the Mall where he lives since Mother's Day caught him and me by surprise since it arrived a week early this year and he came to the conclusion that this product was far better product than anything he could find in the Mall. I had thought Hickory Farm would work since he would have physical access to viewing any items from them and his comment was that Wisconsinmade, this company whose product I am reviewing, did a far better job in quality and produce. I think that says it. For those who see only volume and not quality, stay with the grocery store, it will give you lots of volume if that is your criteria. I will note that I bought a couple of these products from this company and I have copied the same review to each so that people will know that this company has excellent quality. Quality cheese and quality sausage is expensive and this company makes it well.

This is an okay gift box, only if you like mediocre cheese and summer sausage. The items are small, smaller than they appear in the picture. I only paid $30, but I would not purchase it again. On the positive side, the mustard samples that come with it make the items edible.

I buy these every year to give as gifts to my coworkers (about 14 people, so they each get 4). I divide them up and put them in little gift bags and put a little note with them that reads, "Some Christmas "spirits" just for you!" They're a big hit and not too tough on the pocketbook.
