Beemster Vlaskaas Cheese - Sold by the Pound

For those of us who are Lactose-Intolerant, cheese might seem an impossible thought. But Beemster cheeses are all VERY lactose-free, although they ARE made with actual milk (I am VERY lactose-intolerant, and have never had a problem with any of them, but milk allergics MIGHT have an issue.)

But more importantly, the Vlaskaas variety is the closest thing I have been able to find to the yellow American cheese that so many people here in the USA have grown up with-AND... IT'S DELICIOUS! The cheese IS a bit drier than most American cheeses, and can dry out quickly if not eaten for a few days, but it has the same wonderful taste that I have missed for so long. I have not yet tried making Mac & Cheese with it, but I have tried making grilled cheese-the taste there was not the same, but the cheese did melt normally on the grill and it still tasted pretty good. Also, I use some grated Beemster Farmer's Cheese variety on homemade pizzas to give them the extra flavor and color that I'm used to (when making homemade pizzas, I use primarily shredded Cablanca white goat cheese, which is the closest I have been able to find to Mozarella, and top it off with a thin layer of Beemster Farmer's Cheese).

This is a delightfully delicious gourmet cheese that is well worth the order, even if you are NOT lactose-intolerant.

This stuff is the best. I think it's a little over priced on Amazon as I can get it for $1.00 at my local grocer. If you're kind and call in advance you can probably sweet-talk your local grocer into selling you a whole case.

I would love to be able to buy SoBe Fuji Apple Pear by the case for my husband. He has completely given up soda and now drinks Lifewater...however, I pay $1.00 per bottle at our local Wal-Mart Store and would be crazy to spend $125.00 for 24/ 20 ounce bottles...this is outrageous! Why would anyone want to pay 5 times the price? I love shopping on Amazon, but on this item you will not get my business!! Why is it so high?

I can't find enough of this stuff... It's either becoming very popular or is very under stocked, since I find myself cleaning out the entire stock of the two stores nearest me on a weekly basis.

You should be able to find this for 99 cents.... beware, some places charge significantly more.

Great for diabetics like me, and very refreshing after a swim or hockey game. I like all the flavors except the red colored ones, acai, and yum berry, which remind me too much of hawaiian punch.

I have a lot of food allergies too, but haven't had any problem with any of the 0 calorie lifewaters.

I'm a natural skeptic and had to look up the ingredients before adopting something that seemed too good to be true. The sweetener used in this stuff is called Erythritol, which from what I've read is a natural substance from fruit and doesn't have all the side effects other sweeteners do, like promoting cavities, obesity, diabetes, or diarrhea.

I took it easy at first because i have sensitive bowels, but have found that i can drink this stuff from morning to night and not have any trouble. Although as with anything I eventually get bored and have to switch back to ice tea for a while.

I can't say the same for the regular lifewaters or any other beverage except unsweetened ice tea, and water, which get a little boring after a while.

This stuff has helped me kick the soda habit and reduce my appetite... thank you sobe!

It would be wonderful if I could have this stuff delivered by the case instead of having to go hunting for it a few bottles at a time.

I absolutely love this product & can't get stores to keep up with this particular flavor. All of a sudden within a week, it has gone up 33% at Wal-Mart, but this price is totally RIDICULOUS!!! Who in Heaven's name would pay this much for it. You should be ashamed of yourselves!!

Rougie Whole Duck Foie Gras Torchon Style, 8.5 oz

We quite enjoyed this foie gras, shared with friends and family at a dinner party with a French theme. If the price was more reasonable, we would certainly enjoy it much more often.

Kristian Regale Sparkling Beverage, Black Currant, 25.4-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 4)

The color is a rosy plum, and its scent, like most juices, indicative of the fruit used in it. (read: it smells like black currant!) The carbonation is perfectly fantastic, just like all Kristian Regále (see the link in the sidebar), with it's zesty bite that's not over the top, and full of tiny bubbles. It doesn't completely dissipate on your tongue like some of this style of drink does. Its on the drier side of Kristian Regále, which is quite dry for a juice, still sweet for a wine. It's fairly acidic, medium bodied and on the bold side. Fresh plums come to mind while drinking it.

It cleanses well, and it'd pair well with lots of foods. Steaks, pastas, pork and even some desserts. It's very versatile, and complimentary to lots of foods. The ingredients list is gleefully short. Water, apple & black currant concentrates, beet sugar, carbon dioxide, natural flavors and citric acid.

This is now my favorite Kristian Regále drink. it's more nuanced and sophisticated than the pomegranate, and a bit more versatile. it's as wine-like as you can get in the sparkling world, without going for de-alcholized wine. I'm definitely adding this to my table drink list, and with how often we use Amazon to order things, a case of this will be on my Birthday and Christmas lists indefinitely.

We drank this with Spinach Procsuittio Noodle Casserole.

My favorite Kirstian Regále so far, 10 out of 10

This was introduced to me by a muslim friend who cannot drink alcohol, and I have to say it is one of the best drinks I've ever had. As others point out, it's a rather sophisticated drink so if you're looking for something that could replace wine this is probably as close as you'll get (although being fizzy it's more like champagne I guess).

HOWEVER this sold on Amazon in May 2012 when I last ordered it for $19.53, now it's like DOUBLE THAT PRICE!

I wouldn't buy this for anything more than $20, so if I were you I'd either wait to find it at that price again on Amazon or look elsewhere.

I love anything Black Currant and was delighted to find this sparkling juice. It's not too sweet and has a great taste. The bottle is really pretty too. The price can't be beat when you have it auto-shipped once a month. It comes out to less than $3 a bottle, which is cheaper than buying it in a store.... if you can even a find a store that stocks these.

I love black currant flavored stuff, and this is no exception. I can't have booze, due to medications, so I treat myself to sparkling drinks now and then. This is GREAT!! It has a definite black currant flavor, and not TOO sparkly... just right !! (Goldilocks said so) And, the packaging really is easy to deal withonce the tape is removed, the box is simple to "undo". No drama with unpacking :)

This is a really nice item for the price. It included all the products as shown. Yes, it did include a lot of filler but nothing was missing. The basket is large, and the presentation is impressive. The only thing wrong was minor: It included a red bow which was a bit crushed. I replaced the bow with a new one from the dollar store for gift-giving. Nonetheless, I was very happy with this gift.

Note I purchased at Easter for one quarter of the regular price. I would be pleased with half off. I might be disappointed at full price.

very good fan wafers. they arrived with some breakage.

They are very crisp, but beware they are sold in cardboard boxes,

and turn stale fast after opening the box.

For the price of the cookies they should be packed in tin cans to preserve freshness.

Very disappointed because of the packaging.

The cookies are worth getting if you are willing to transfer them to a good metal can.

I actually got these for my mother, as she remembered them when she lived in Malaysia. They shipped well, very few were broken, and they tasted just fine. Also, it seems like a high price but you get a massive amount of these wafers. They'll last you a long time. I wish they offered smaller amounts as it will take my mom two years to get through these and I'm not sure how long they'll be good.
