Kasugai - Roasted Wasabi Hot Green Peas (4.3 Oz - 1 Lb)

Taiwan Roasted Wasabi Hot Green Peas - 8.24 Oz - Starch Free, Wheat Flour FreeI wanted to try one bag 1st. I eat sushi and thought I would try this product for a little dose of wasabi on my days off. It gives a blast of taste and then it is over. It is not over whelmingly hot, but nice. I was happy to see there was no trans fat in the product. My friend from Oklahoma said she liked these, but I could not find them. Someone from Japan gave them to her. She is really picky, so I thought if she liked them they must be great. She is not really very experimental and I love all kinds of things. I like them. They are good. I like them better than some of the more expesive wasabi snack products I have tried from eden foods. I like the pea form. These peas are addictive. When I ran out I thought I was going into shock. I kept craving them. I buy more now that I like them.

The product is excellent. Tasty, crunchy, hot as wasabi can be,but the hotness desappears just in time to grab another handfull. People who like Japanese food will certainly enjoy to nibble Kasugai.

I have eaten many pounds of these peas and they are the BEST! I have also tried several other brandsthey can't compete with the genuine Kasugai brand. Target's are horridburnt until browish, wasabi falls off and lousy flavor, taste burnt and wasabi tastes like American Horseradish, it probably is. Sun-Luck's have a strong Nutra-Sweet flavor, e Kusugai have a nice roasted pea flavor and a real nice wasabi *bang*!! that quickly fades, leaving you none the worst for wear and wanting more. Honestly, I have tried about 5-6 different brands and none of them can compete. Grab a bag and get hooked-

Well. There must be some reason why you want to buy comparatively expensive wasabi peas. A longing for a specific "taste" of Taiwanese style peas, the need/desire to have a gluten free snack. So, I'm going to assume that you've already assessed how much these peas are worth to you...and are seriously thinking about buying them anyway.

These peas do the job. They are good quality peas. Crunchy. The wasabi flavor is good...a nice bite, but not too much. And they are visually appealing. Its not a huge amount...there are "30 packets", but those packets are small--like airline peanuts small. So, they are best savored rather than gobbled!

*The basic ingredients list is in English, but there is no English information about cross-contamination, etc...so if you have actual celiac disease and don't read Chinese, this is probably not the product for you. But if you just want something that is wheat free, these are great!

Appenzeller Cheese (8oz or 1lb)

Appenzeller CheesePackage arrived crushed in thin paper envelope with plastic repair tape on broken edges. Contents (cheese) melted but contained in sealed plastic bag. Very small cold Pak warm. Do not buy this product from this seller, find it somewhere else.

Totally worth it, though I was told that proper appenzeller has a slight crystalline crunch to it that mine didn't.

Bookbinder's Snapper Soup, 10.5-Ounce Cans (Pack of 12)

Bookbinder's Snapper Soup, 10.5-Ounce CansI was born and raised in Philadelphia. I have tasted only one version of Snapper soup that was better. That was a frozen version produced by Campbell Soups during the 1960s. Having said that, Bookbinders' Snapper Soup is the best-tasting Snapper now available. The label instructs you to cut the contents with one-half can of water; I prefer to open two cans and warm the contents straight. The result is rich and thick with a flavourable base, filled with turtle meat, cooked egg white, and just the right mix of seasonings. Probably the best snapper soup on the market.

I am writing this after having eaten this soup for lunch. Something has gone terribly wrong here. I have enjoyed this soup quite frequently in the past. Until fairly recently, this soup has been consistently good. The taste was correct, just the right amount of sherry, and enough turtle to satisfy my normally generous standards. This last serving has prompted me to search the Internet for the source of the problem; no turtle and far too much tomato. As I have alluded to earlier, this is not consistent with the past history of this product. Something has gone very terribly wrong here...

There's something funny going on when your main soup ingredient is listed almost dead last on the list, right before caramel color. Three lumps of textured vegetable protein, no bigger than a fly... they're saying this is turtle? Are they using the water from a snapper's territory to make the broth? Looks like the supply of turtle meat has dried up.

This soup is for all intents and purposes vegetarian, but with almost no protein. It's still somewhat tasty but without meat you're just having a bowl of gravy for lunch.

I just had a bowl of this stuff. It tasted all tomato with no meat of any kind. In fact, the soup itself is pretty much like brown gravy with tomato paste or tomato sauce added. There is no meat at all. You could eat a bowl of it with a sturdy straw. It was gross. I will not even have it again.

i was disappointed with this soup. it wasn't like brennans in neworleans

i added tomatoes, celery and onions to the soup which made it much better.

Mountain Gorgonzola - Pound Cut (1 pound) by igourmet

Mountain Gorgonzola - Pound Cut by igourmetWe had tried several dishes of Italian gourmet when we were in Italy that contained Gorgonzola. Obviously, it must have been the "dolce" (sweet) variety. This is a very strong and sharp taste. I did not mind it at all in some recipes but the wife could not tolerate the overpowering taste. If you like authentic Gorgonzola, this is a delight. If you like authentic Blue Cheese, you defininately should try this.
